Vasco Rossi Siamo solo noi

Of course I know the difference between a session musician and a true musician. Those who play with Vasco, in addition to "performing," create music (Stef Burns, for example). That's what I wanted to say. What I don't understand, dear STONEY, are some clichés like "Vasco fans don't get emotional listening to a Lou Reed album." Who says that? I adore Reed and have seen him live many times; he moves me, and I know well the difference between a major and a minor chord. I played guitar in a little band for six years, doing covers of Pink Floyd, The Stones, Reed, Clapton, Dylan, Dire Straits, and Vasco Rossi, along with GAETANO and IVAN GRAZIANI. There are many others like me who love high-quality music and also listen to Vasco. Is it a scandal? I don’t think so, and let me be clear that I'm not making comparisons. It's true that some of Vasco's songs are composed of few simple chords, but that doesn't mean they are trivial. Vasco is not just "rewind," "come STAI," or similar things; he has written beautiful pieces. Anyway, I know you will stick to your opinions, as is right, and on one thing I agree with you: I was at a Vasco concert last week, and the fanaticism of "some" fans is irritating, but not all are like that. Best regards.

The shift workers are musicians, aren’t they? I listen to music all the time, in the car (I travel often), at home; the only place I can’t is at the office. And even now, I’m listening to "Berlin," and I used to listen to music from pre-years because I reviewed three albums a day for a magazine. It’s true that I have CDs I haven’t listened to in years; you’re the one talking nonsense, if anything. I’m a serious person, and anyway, millions of fans follow the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin—don’t generalize. Comparing Vasco to Gigi D'Alessio? Ridiculous.

Dear friends, I don't want to bore you with my musical "CULTURE," the concerts I've attended, and the thousands of CDs I own (about 14,000, all original). I live for music. As for Vasco, it’s clear that I focus on the lyrics, but to say the music is subpar is incorrect. To say that "gli angeli" has a tacky solo means not understanding anything. Vasco's musicians are excellent, but do you even know who plays with Vasco? Do you know who Colaiuta is? Golini has been playing bass for over 30 years, Stef Burns is a great guitarist, and the drummers who have played with Vasco are internationally recognized. Try to set aside your prejudices and don’t generalize about Vasco's fans. Right now, I'm listening to "time out of mind" by Dylan; in the car, I had Freddy King and Miles Davis, who I listen to daily. You're not talking to some loser who drinks anything.

DEAR MARPADO and company, I haven't mentioned "how are you," "rewind," or other "summery" tracks packaged for the little ones. "Stupendo" is a piece of fierce irony that speaks of those in the '70s who wanted imagination in power and fought against the system, and today they are splashing around in the system. If you only remember "it makes me sick," you are no different from the goats you so despise. "Gli angeli" is a poignant piece with a final solo that is more meaningful than a thousand words. "Here, angels don't fly" is your creation; the song says, "here, angels don't come and orders don't teach you the right way." "Sally" speaks for itself; I recommend you listen to our "ogni volta," "dillo alla luna," "la noia," and "non appari mai," a song from '93 but still very relevant.

listen to "no danger for you," how can you say that Vasco gave his best in the 80s? In the 90s he wrote songs like "vivere," "stupendo," "sally," "gli angeli," "quanti anni hai," you have too many prejudices.

a masterpiece, when it comes to Vasco Rossi I associate myself with what De André said, "Vasco is the only one in Italy who does rock and remains credible." In my opinion, Vasco made great albums until '96, then the level dropped even though some songs are very beautiful; "Il mondo che vorrei" is one of these. It's clear that Vasco today is a mass hero, a business, a brand, but what does that mean? Even Pink Floyd are, the Rolling Stones for just two examples. I've been listening to Vasco since '88 and I still like him; he moves me and what he says resonates with thousands of kids, and not all of them are brainless. I’ve gone on a bit and I apologize.
