Thank you for the lovely review! Magma literally struck me down from the very first listen, which happened more than 10 years ago thanks to a review that talked about them right here on Debaser... recently I listened to their entire discography, thinking that the last albums were "minor" (also due to the aforementioned “too critical” reviews), but once again the lightning struck... this album is the Magma sound to the nth power, an evolution that doesn't lose its grit but actually gains even more colors! Probably the critics haven't even listened to it because if you love music, it’s impossible, impossible not to love this album.

Pleasant but somewhat repetitive.
Nice album, but in my opinion, less intriguing than the first.
Finally, a question to the pueblo unìdo (& umìdo):
excuse me... am I the only one who thinks that in this album (especially in a couple of tracks) they remind me *a lot* of Stereolab?

Well done, great review and amazing album.
I had never listened to Fabi and I was very, very skeptical... instead, it's nice to be surprised from time to time and let go of useless prejudices :)
I don't expect the dullards who make Vasco and Eros their reason for living to get close to this, but if even we “good lovers of good music” don’t allow ourselves to listen to something that, in theory, doesn’t convince or represent us, we can't complain if others don’t broaden their horizons... let’s start doing it ourselves - well done Fabi for changing my mind! ;)

I'm listening to this album on a friend's recommendation, along with a ton of prog and "massive" stuff. I was therefore a bit (very) skeptical, definitely influenced by his old, very old glories like the aforementioned "I always live with my hair" (I don't even know the title... :P) and come on, Niccolò Fabi... he's not even my genre.
And instead... as soon as he began to sing, to "narrate," a reverent silence fell upon me: you can't help but listen with respect to his words, so deep and wise, so "felt," really exuding an honesty that almost hurts, truly admirable.
The first thing that struck me, especially in the first song, are the lyrics.
The second thing is the arrangements: yes, pop songs, delicate and refined, but that know how to create the right atmosphere for the concepts that good Niccolò is trying to express with his words.
I've reevaluated him; I still believe it's impossible that his other albums are as beautiful (and someone above confirmed that this is the best, a little gem), but before holding onto these prejudices any longer, I will listen to it... at this point, it's owed :)

Quotone for Know-it-all, what a shame to see such a beautiful album so diminished!
Minimum 4, deserved 5.
Oh, I almost forgot: rating for the review, one... or even less.

The review doesn’t seem that great to me; I haven’t listened to the album yet, but I heard "Tempi bui" and it intrigues me, so for now, I won’t express any judgment. In any case, it’s a drag to see that out of 63 comments, half are just petty squabbles.

A bit of a terse review, more stuffed than the pizza they make at the pizzeria under my house: I digest it well though, with a beer it goes down even better!

Cozzio, congratulations on the review and the album is one of the best from the great Magma!!

I'm glad that someone has reviewed this little great album, even if the review is a bit brief... anyway, I share your opinion and I'm looking forward to Daniele's next album :)

I really enjoyed this beautiful electronic album even though it's true that Meg tends to mimic Bjork's trills and howls (the O with umlauts).
Anyway, whether she's communist or not, Neapolitan or Vesuvianna, I appreciate her efforts: at least she does something different from most of the other Italian female singers...
