Great review. I remember the album very well. Honestly, I have to tell you, though, that I didn't like it much. I need to listen to it again today; sometimes feelings change over time!

@Giovannia: thank you. I actually had some doubts about it. Bye

As a big Bowie fan, my rating for this album is 2.5 leaning towards 3. Some things are salvageable. Other things are simply unbearable. Especially that damn sax, as you rightly pointed out. Listenable.

I've seen this CD several times, but I've kind of snubbed it because I wasn't convinced about the sound quality. If you confirm that the recording is actually excellent, I'll add it to my shopping list.
David Bowie The Buddha of Suburbia

I agree. My rating is 3.5 - and that's not little - for an underrated work where, instead, I see many worthy compositions. In short, a nice album.
Stephen King Pet Sematary

I managed to read the book long before seeing the dreadful adaptation in the cinema. I've read very distant books by King. The one you reviewed is certainly not among the unforgettable ones. Quite the opposite.

I agree with what you wrote. The only flaw of this album? Perhaps being too similar to Boys and Girls. However, like the latter, it is truly an excellent work with an amazing team of professionals. My rating is 4.5.

This double is great. I say this because I own the vinyl. I followed them closely until Cultusaurus....., concluding with Imaginos. This is an underrated band that has had a career full of twists and turns, with its share of highs and lows. However, I have always admired them. This live recording is captivating. Not up to "On Your Feet...", of course, but definitely worth keeping at all costs. The second official live album (Some Enchanted... where Astronomy finally appears!!) is also very nice.

I couldn't even imagine the illness and subsequent death of E.W.. For better or for worse, he and Alan made us listen to a lot of beautiful music. Tales....and I Robot, personally, above all.
