Great review! I completely agree with your theorem, the only downside is that in person it seems to have lost a bit of enthusiasm even though it keeps touring Italy every month, every season, every year. The metal drummer saves it..

After seeing him live, I decided never to listen to this artist again—an hour and a half, and I mean an hour and a half of salsa and various Latin rhythms (indeed) with someone improvising over it. Rarely has a live concert managed to ruin my evening like this; it even gave me a heavy hangover. It could be that the night before I had seen Eric Clapton (it was Umbria Jazz), so it annoys me to hear talk of revolutions. I worked all day just to enjoy good music in the evening, and that day was just a crappy day! He might be a decent guitarist, but over time he becomes repetitive, and when stretched over an hour and a half of live performance, it's also limited.
