Isis Oceanic Remixes / Reinterpretations

Guys, in this review, to say more, I would have had to do a simple track-by-track since each piece is remixed by a different musician, apart from Tim Hecker who offers two versions of Carry, and this is not a track-by-track site.. Don’t be afraid to rate the album; I won’t take offense, it’s an experiment after all, the unknown is absolute. I liked it because, in the end, I enjoy covers, especially when they involve an interpretation with a very specific and personal style from the artist covering it.. In this case, I appreciate it because the origin and end really have nothing to do with each other, a work that for me reaches a solid 6. @Fosca: Post-Hardcore, violent music with melodic and elongated flashes, with a singer who switches from burps to trying to be emotional (he doesn’t do it very well but I personally appreciate the effort), in any case, it’s stuff that is far from Tori Amos, Sylvian, and Sakamoto, you should refine your tastes a bit... They will be in Italy in November :)

@Fedeee: you're living the age of wonders, not the country. @K: so we won't watch it?? ;)

To Frà: 1) You can't even begin to imagine what Reggio di Calabria is like (which for you and your mind is as distant as the Sahara); I can assure you it's much more cosmopolitan than your Bergamo Alta, and emos exist even in the shittiest little towns, not to mention the emos who are unaware of being emos. 2) I didn't mean to make you laugh, but I wanted to point out how funny your post was. 3) I listened to Pearl Jam when I was 14; I grew up on bread and Pearl Jam, and by 17 I was honoring them with a cover band. Now I'm 24, and a few months ago I met Glass. It's been more than a week, and I'm sorry for you but the source wasn't Ondarock, it was my dear brother. If it makes you happy, Ondarock introduced me to Amon Duul, My Bloody Valentine, and similar bands. I don’t mind you being influenced by Alessio; after all, he's a character I like, but he's cultured, and you aren't. Bye.

(Apart from the duplicates) Wasn't it better to send one every three days? I love grunge and I love those who talk about it, but reading your name four times in HP has already tired me of you...

Vast, sincere page. The commissions... Hehe, you reminded me of an old uncle of mine, who for me was obviously like a grandfather. I don't know if I'll read it right away, but the purchase is certain. Well done, Bob.

Of course I've listened to (half) Superfreak! :) Regarding DeGustibus, there’s no arguing it, but I assure you that among the things labeled as stoner, which is quite varied but in this case is pseudo-heavy stoner in a simple way, there's much, much better: Unida, Goatsnake (*****), Alabama Thunderpussy, Spiritual Beggars, the latest Trouble... Then again, it's clear that everyone has their own skeletons in the closet. :)

Sorry MaTaCà! But they really suck, banal, ugly voice, predictable in a word: useless. Did you really like them so much that you gave them 4 stars? Indie doesn’t even quite fit. I quote MaraMaionchionchionchi and I say: for me, it's a no!

Indeed, the blood is abundant. Let's make it 68% Flemish and 32% Francophone.
