Here I am! I only know the guy by name; I've heard very good things about him... I confess that I usually distrust drummers' albums, but here the proposal seems very, very tempting... I'll give it a try too. Impeccable reception, as usual.

I was simply asking for confirmation! :-) I only knew it as harp-guitar (which Metheny has been playing for quite a while), I didn't know it was called Pikasso.

Beautiful. I like this one more than your previous one. Pikasso... harp-guitar?

Dear Muffin, I'm not 100% sure, but I think one of the pieces is the stunning "It's For You," from "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls," an unmatched masterpiece by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, in the (very personal!) opinion of the writer.

"The elegance that distinguishes him well compensates for any compositional deficits..." No, I would definitely say no. "After all, we are essentially talking about an interpreter rather than an author..." Well, it also sucks when he sings. The review is well-written, as usual for you: but it is a bit too indulgent toward this genuine media buffoon - read: photos in "Gente" with the image of Padre Pio, him and the Pope, etc., etc...

But what is this, a review or your blog? ;-) And then I’d like to see it, dear, back in the eighties I had the Bravo, nothing like the Sì without variator, and there was hardly any action...

Ladies and gentlemen, Pat Metheny is nearing 60, do you really expect him to reinvent music!? There’s a bit of truth in what the gentlemen above say, but come on, a little respect! ;-) The Swedish guy in question I don’t know, I’ll look into it, thanks for the tip.

Good job Uxo, always great jazz on the homepage, thank you. "Quiet" by John Scofield is beautiful! :-) I also really like the albums he made in a quartet with Joe Lovano a few years ago, especially "Time On My Hands". Well, and why should I even mention it? "Bass Desires" with Frisell...
