I, with those who steal my reviews of "Night Passage", won't talk to them! ;-)

But how much do you write? ;-)

I always approach free jazz with a lot of caution (except for Ornette Coleman, whom I adore), but I want to give this a try. The review is a blast.

Well, what else is there to add?... Good job.

Yes, yes, YES.

I quote a lot, and therefore by the transitive property of the transitive property, I quote myself. ;-)
Eddie Palmieri Palmas
Voto:
Purpulan is probably referring to his brother Charlie Palmieri, who is also a pianist, organist, and tatierista. As for the term "azzimato," the dictionary tells me it means "dressed with excessive refinement." Well, that depends on what one means by "refinement," anyway... Who knows. ;-)
Ralph Towner & Gary Burton Matchbook
Voto:
Count, as you know, Towner before starting his solo career and forming Oregon, played in the Paul Winter Consort. A record by this group, "Road," was taken into orbit by the astronauts of the Apollo 15 mission, who named two craters on the moon after two tracks from the album composed by Ralph Towner: "Icarus" and "Ghost Beads."
Pino Daniele Ricomincio da 30
Voto:
Pino Daniele is a guitarist and a musician with serious skills. Sometimes, though, he tends to be a bit too commercial.

@ajeje: beautiful link. The CD I reviewed diverges a bit from Palmieri's production, primarily because it is completely instrumental, and also because it features long solos from American jazz musicians. This makes the album closer to the works of the fusion between jazz and Latin music carried out by Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie in their heyday. Thanks to all the commentators.
