Well, I actually liked this album back then. Or maybe it was just because I was a kid at the time? ;-)

We admit it. Yes, we admit it: we are absolutely out of our minds. And the drowning is sweet to me in this sea.

Dear sfascia, I'm not Sardinian even though (as you might have guessed!) I have Sardinia in my heart. As for the second proposal: I actually hadn't thought about it at all! Good idea anyway, I'll give it a try. :-)

Thank you, what a beautiful welcome for Enzo! :-) I saw a concert at the end of November featuring one of ours, accompanied by a lineup that included sax (he only played the tenor), trumpet (the trumpeter was great, darn it, I can't remember his name!), piano (the usual Di Bonaventura, not bad on the piano), keyboards, bass, and drums, plus the Tenores di Bitti. The coordinates were definitely hard-boppistic, and maybe even beyond. Strange to say, the Tenores di Bitti blended wonderfully with the music. Their singing has an exceptional evocative power. A standing ovation at the end of the concert. I don't know if there's a record project, but if so, I'll definitely buy the CD.

A necessary response to odradek: precisely because the mentioned artists deserve the utmost respect, but above all they deserve to be SUPPORTED, what happens on this page makes me very angry. In the face of this, all other considerations, however shareable, take a back seat, at least for me, and "I see red," as has certainly been understood from the posts. I haven't read your review where you talk about Duchamp, but I'm almost sure it wouldn't have the same effect on me. Speak to you soon.

I liked "Elephant" very little, so if this film continues its discussion... Sorry!

Dear Odradek and Bonny, your wit and savvy are decidedly wasted in a context like this. Dear Mr. Padella, dear Mrs. Zawinull: I reiterate once more that your writings disgust me. They ooze arrogance, classism, and nauseating self-satisfaction. I find your conception of art and culture decadent and obsolete. What you call "counter-information" is actually a grotesque and ahistorical attempt at restoration, a yearning to return to the good old days when culture was in the hands of a few chosen ones and the "masses" had to merely consent, or at most (your kindness) "be educated." Hearing such things on the internet, the homeland of horizontal democracy and free exchange of information, is simply ridiculous. The "massification" you so dread is actually called "democratization," and I understand well that it terrifies you, because it presents a world where your opinion holds the same weight as mine. The problem (for you) is that thanks to the internet, this has been a reality for several decades now.
