A great movie, plain and simple.
Woody Allen Mighty Aphrodite

I believe that a film like "Mighty Aphrodite" can captivate a rather broad audience. It could be seen simply as the bittersweet story of a girl in search of a quiet everyday life after her questionable career choices, but also as a broader work, rich in cultured references to the vast Greek theater. The little intellectual does not fail to deliver...

Never seen it given my personal aversion to dance films from "Shall We Dance" to "Flashdance," from "Dirty Dancing" to "Step Up." Among other things, if the only attractions of the film in question are Banderas's "coolness" and the music, I really don't think I'll ever watch it...

...needless to say, she makes mistakes too. I’m a fan, not a fanatic... (Yes, I know, it sounds like a public service announcement)

The fact is that unfortunately it often happens on this site that when one starts to (s)talk about an artist, one invariably loses control of one's fingers, which fly across the keyboard in an inversely proportional manner to that little bit of common sense that lies within each of us. Currently, there are very few artists who, like Bjork, manage to combine extravagant appearance and intelligent substance, artists who communicate with the audience through every little part of themselves, with music, theatricality, and image. But above all, there are very few artists who know how to question themselves with continuous experimentation, something that is clearly evident in albums like "Post," "Vespertine," or even "Homogenic" (Indeed). I won’t even discuss respect for other people's musical tastes, as expressions like "I would have Bjork kidnapped by a mentally ill person who, after 15 days of loving torture, leaves her alone in a forest, I’d do it to see if she still has the courage to propose what she currently does after a brainwashing experience at the hands of 1 or 2 genre fanatics" or "Shit...better Kylie Minogue than this deaf-mute," well, those seem anything but respectful to me. As for the album, I think 5 stars is a bit exaggerated for a work of reworking previously recorded tracks. Better a 4....keep up your "naif" reviews...:)

True...risky, but with my deduction, I meant to highlight the social weight of a work like this. Time changes perspectives but does not undermine the value of art. Metaphorically speaking, it's as if watercolors and oil paints should disappear because acrylics have been invented...I know you understand me.

This film managed to silence and captivate a seventh-grade class during two extra hours of music education. Some time has passed, but I still have a great memory of it. In one word: Spectacular.

I believe that "Medulla" has nothing to envy compared to Bjork's previous albums. It is an album that is difficult to define, essential and complex at the same time. It's strange that in the review they forget to mention "Ancestors," one of the most atypical tracks on the CD and one of the most beautiful.
