Gus Van Sant Elephant
Voto:
This film can be described in any way: exaggerated, violent, raw, essential, beautiful. But boring didn't seem to me at all (Let alone extremely boring). The only aspect that holds me back from defining it as Van Sant's masterpiece is the lack of viewing of the much-praised "Jerry."
I didn't like the review, much to my dismay, because I've read other pages of yours and appreciated them; this one seems a bit trivial. Would it have been possible to add a few words about the perspective shift that leads Van Sant to view the two killers as the rightful executioners of individuals condemned by themselves (The three bulimic and silly girls, the outcast, the all-muscle-no-brain...)? The characters are more than comic book figures; they are dramatic stereotypes, and the sequences don’t really intersect but repeat according to the different points of view of the various protagonists, one of the many elements that contribute to achieving the true goal of the direction: a choral work. I don’t intend to be a know-it-all, believe me, but "Elephant" is one of my favorite films, I couldn't hold back. But on the rating, we agree:))))))))))))))

I’ve never seen the live performance, but I liked the review; it was passionate but not pathetic. Well done!

And indeed... I saw it just last night, one of the most beautiful romantic comedies I've ever seen. The portrayal of the hypochondriac is splendid.

Now I realize... "The work is almost incomprehensible AT FIRST...." Pardon.

I agree with Bonny91. I like them on record but I've never seen a live show of theirs (except for the Supersonic on MTV, assuming I'm not talking nonsense). The review is pretty good, but the tracklist is redundant.

Sooner or later I will have to see him...
AA.VV. Great Expectations - The Album

Between the director and the Italian translation of the title, half of Anglo-Saxon literature is invoked; the only ones missing are Beckett and Balke, and the picture is complete. Transcending the film, I actually enjoyed the soundtrack overall, while the review leaves me a bit puzzled since I don't particularly favor the schematic track-by-track approach. However, the idea of a brief and instantaneous explanation attached to each title isn't so bad...

I liked this even more than "Room on Fire," not to mention "First Impressions of Earth"... truly expendable. The review has the same substance as an Ikea billboard. Useless.
