Satriani is the only one who stands out from that crap of shredders... he's great, though, leaving Page aside, Gilmour is one of the best, not to mention the great Clapton and the other legend, Knopfler... as for rock... I'd rather not discuss metal here :)

I love the guitarist who plays with soul, with passion. One of the many reasons I love Page, Hendrix, and especially Gilmour. With shredders like Vai, I wipe my ass, or even worse, Dragonforce... screw their effects on guitars and all that crap...
