Pink Floyd Animals
Voto:
I understand, I have Rizzi's famous book on Prog, where the ratings also leave a lot to be desired, although there is an interesting section on the minors. I wasn't aware of these biographies about individual artists; I suppose I haven't missed anything from the quotes you underline :), personally I consider Piper, Saucerful, Atom, Meddle, Dark Side, Wish, Animals, The Wall all masterpieces.

What kind of book are you talking about?:S, I'm glad to see that "Animals" has been reassessed.
Beardfish Sleeping in Traffic: Part One
Voto:
Wonderful page, this is my favorite chapter by Beardfish, eclectic compositions that warm the heart with simplicity.
Mogwai Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
Voto:
Just like I did for the previous "The Hawk Is Howling," I requested it in the double version; it should arrive in a few days. I didn’t want to listen to anything in advance; I fully share the admiration for them. You either love them or hate them? Maybe it’s like that; I love them.
R.E.M. Collapse Into Now
Voto:
What's worse, there are those who still follow the Ramones, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, or even Mötley Crüe; everyone clings to their own dinosaurs, after all :)
R.E.M. Collapse Into Now

I'll buy it when it goes on sale.
Simon Says Tardigrade
Voto:
An album that's a bit more than pleasant, but still valid; I find it quite Spock's Beard-like from the "Beware of Darkness" period.
The Rural Alberta Advantage Hometowns
Voto:
@pixies77: you may already know, the new Rural album, "Hometowns," has just been released and it really touched my heart, it's electrifying. I hope this year's album is just as satisfying.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Henry's Dream

The Smiths Strangeways, Here We Come

Not the best, but splendid nonetheless.
