I think you like Maiden more, but other than that, it's okay. I don't know the album, I might look for it.

Come on Dadosh, this isn't about genre; it's about the fact that it's radio music (and that's fine by me, I actually like radio pop at the right moments) produced with the worst sounds ever heard in living memory. Long live easy listening, but this stuff? Never.

In the end, it's all about Grace under pressure ...great! I don't know this one, maybe I'll look it up.

Super, sometimes you scare me...! A little note, if I may, Happy nightmare baby was released by sst, they will head straight to Rough Trade due to unpaid royalties. The review is good, and you've made me want to listen to them again. I had gotten hooked on "No free lunch today" from a few years later and very country, but still not on the same level as this.

I agree with almost everything in the Coolermaster post.

A bit tough on the first listen. The singing actually reminds me of the Huskers but it seems interesting. And then there's the cover of "King of the Hill," and in the end, it all makes sense :)

Always August and Tar Babies, both from the SST of the eighties. The former have little to do with Watt & co but are excellent, reminding one of an accelerated and gritty Grateful Dead. The latter played hardcore before evolving into a punk-funk-jazz style in the wake of the Minutemen, but without the twists of Boon and Watt, which made it all a bit cold. However, as a fan of SST, you might already know them.
