Uh, BTW, in the review the album title is spelled correctly, why is it listed in the singular on HP? (I would ask the Editors to correct it).

First axiom of Umberto Eco on the aesthetic "Autodafé" of the 1910s: uniformly dyeing the remaining cervical hair black as sepia and carefully removing the aging fluff from cheeks and throat, while keeping, as a high school legacy, a couple of whiskers between beak and jowls (which is very 1970s, a period when the masculine Oreade appeared fit, albeit ruddy, at forty) and if, still in the 1910s but from the past century, Herr Karl Kraus proclaimed that Cosmetics is the science of the Woman’s Cosmos: "Who cares!" ; ).

Instrumentally, I don’t mind them at all. However, sometimes the vocalizations (I can’t tell if it's Harris or Seim who owns that throat) dangerously remind me of the whining "Stereotypes" from that "Gorillaz" by Damon Albarn, provoking the classic "Chicago by Night" effect on me. ;)

Mmmmh, I'm not a "vinyl fan" expert, but if it lasts a total of 80 minutes, I don't see why a piece should be removed to fit it into two LPs. Julie's Haircut's latest is 90 minutes long, and it's a double.

I literally consumed this and the next "Momentum" around 5/6 years ago. I carried the CDs everywhere, so now, when I feel nostalgic, I have to listen to them in a sort of forced "Glitch/Remix" version (in the sense that the media is so worn out that it keeps "blipping" and skipping constantly ;), (even though Henke annoys me a bit, I must have sent him a friend request on "MaiSpeiz" at least half a dozen times and he never paid any attention to me, that Teutonic jerk :P).

Palinodia and consenting aberration of what the term "cantautorato" might mean today; more than the individual pieces, it is the album as a whole that is "huge."

Ungaretti at most "would have" called something, nowadays, it could even be paraphrased, "hypothetically," as "I Stumble on Albumin" ; )

Sure Punny, as I said, a bit long-windedly, uses the tools of folk but applies the methods of the avant-gardes, which then translates into sharp shots to the balls for those who love whistlable tunes and immediate, tear-jerking melodies, which is more than understandable.

Excessive in the way I like. Whether it might get on people's nerves is another story, completely understandable. In any case, as much as I can't stand the hordes of "neo-traditionalists," overly servile and lacking inspiration, I equally appreciate her way of handling folk material with extreme competence, but even more so with iconoclasm, taking established canons and turning them inside out, with ample doses of irony and, so far, sarcasm. With the necessary distinctions, the approach isn’t all that different from what characterized Autechre in the "techno music" scene a decade ago. Someone like Antony, for instance, could learn a lot in terms of inventiveness and approaches, (4.5).
