Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues
Voto:
Impeccable, but perhaps too much so; in the long run, I found it excessively "neat" and lacking true punchlines (which, in the case of foxes, should be quite a prized appendage). But this might just be the effects of senile "foolishness" for me, and the sudden mood swings devoid of real reasoning; so much so that I’m even obsessing over the latest Black Lips!!! I mean, nothing new, all well-known (and never really loved), but they have simply stirred and seasoned it with filthy audacity, the best series of mindless little songs I remember having ā€œfarted/burpedā€ out so far ;) (3.5 for the quick little foxes).

I believe I will buy it anyway ; ) And hooray for the 113 (non) commendable comments.

HiHiHi, thanks mister "Earphone," I had the leak at 256 K, now I found it at 320, and I'm never going to get the original Vernon (especially at these vinyl standards). If they make me a digital double album version with the addition of the first one (which would fit on a single CD), I might consider it; for the rest, when he comes to play live, I’ll gladly support him out of my own pocket... Ah, this, overall, is definitely superior to "For Emma, Forever Ago" ; )

Sorry "Salival," but few cares, they've labeled us! "Silenzio Bianco" is in order!! ;)
Black Dice Beaches & Canyons

Everything is very beautiful, truly, but I disagree with some of the stances that come through the lines. Personally, I don't see "Beaches & Canyons" as a destination in the trajectory of Black Dice, but rather as their true beginning. Listening to their early releases instead of a work by Sightings, Wolf Eyes, or Prurient, no matter how interesting, gave me the impression of artists who, nonetheless, were excited to repeatedly bang their heads against the same wall. This is, however, the album where their linguistic synthesis reaches an autonomous and personal form. So here, for instance, even the latest, "Repo," makes much more sense: Black Dice narrow their scope of research, but reinterpret and rework the formulas of Afrobeat, the rhythmic patterns of Hip Hop, and the Blacky sound more broadly according to a paradigm that has now been formed and, therefore, is recognizable (obviously turning everything upside down).

Uh, my clarification was pertaining to SantAlessio's comment; that you, ehm, "Aracnomotore," were quite knowledgeable about the "Four From Baltimore" was beyond question ; )

Um, these are NOT the Animal Collective but a single member of the aforementioned, Panda Bear is a "nom de plume" identifying Noah Lennox from even before the Animals found their own "corporate identity." Discone, anyway.

Red Ronnie has NEVER BEEN THE GOOD! David Thomas and company must have fished him out of IGNORANT ASS... And then maybe he even got blessed ; )

Uh, Amarcord Video Music space?! I actually remember that in the mid-'90s, late at night, there were guys showing videos of really cult bands and musicians, people like Attilio Grilloni (with him, you could really learn about hardcore) or Lorenzo Scoles. It's just that the same guys seem to have ended up, in the early 2000s, as part of the production teams of some Reality Shows... It's Evolution Baby... Now there's "O Tubbe" ; )

The "Vexata Quaestio," indeed, is: "But have those two masterpieces of theirs, titled 'Yeah!' and 'Lick Doo', ever been performed??!" ;)
