AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! It needed a breath of... mephitic past-exhalations, "In the Meantime". Especially considering the persistence of such "parva res" that is the Homepage, in the last times ; ).

Reggio Calabria, huh?! I thought they drew inspiration for the title from some good hands in Briscola or Tressette. But if they’re from Rìggiu, I don't think so ; ).

I, on the other hand, if I have to consider the (over)hyped phenomena by the UK press that push the now Biblical Rock/Dance combo in a Pop sauce, prefer those who clearly give in to the sauce (because, let’s face it, that's what everyone aims for, so the more the ingredients are well-known and natural, the better). From this assumption arises a bipolarity that penalizes odd years in favor of even ones. 2007 - Klaxons: "Bleah, candied fruit in mayonnaise??!!!" 2008 - Friendly Fires: "Just the right balance between flavor and lightness, an excellent complement for Happy Hour!" - 2009 BIG PINK: "Burnt Flambeau sauce!" - 2010 Delphic: "Grandma's jam is always the best!"

Appe, right now, on Slsk by Oneohtrix Point Never you can find at 320 kbps "Rifts," which is a double compilation CD with material previously released on CD-R, splits, and cassettes, quite comprehensive at an introductory level, give it a look and a listen (unless you’ve already done so ;). Cheers.

I’m not fully convinced yet, but I think it needs more listens; however, it’s quite different from what’s been released so far under their name, which is certainly not a bad thing in the long run. However, their heavier side seems fairly sacrificed, with very few and not very memorable heavy riffs, while on the "stretched atmospheres" side they indulge quite a bit but with a less "acid/psych" approach and more of a "repeated, arpeggiated, and drowsy melody." Let's hope it grows and finds the right context for enjoyment.

The approach was directed towards a textual analysis, snapshots of the everyday (both small and large) with a "social" lens (both small and large) tinged with irony ("pecoreccia" with the "Circus," if we want to call it "naif" with the "Offlaghi," but, in my opinion, more enjoyable and effective).

Azz Ez! We really don't see eye to eye on taste ; ). They've never convinced me (and this time we're talking about a band I've endured "on stage" three times), I don't know where you see the technique (the Pixies, those less imaginative, to whom they owe a little something, are virtuosos by comparison), the irony is a "spadellata" of caciucco (which is Livornese and not Pisano) in the style of Ceccarini (what a mess), and they're so fresh and proletarian that the last time I saw them, they started playing at 12:30 AM because at 11:00 there wasn't even a dog in the venue (total attendance: 50 strays at most, with 500 people outside the club waiting until 2:00 AM for them to finish their nonsense). Given the times and circumstances, Offlaga Disco Pax wins 2(000) to 0 against them (thankfully).

Well, maybe the problem doesn't exist, and it's me who should install a better sound system in the car ; )
