Errata Corrige: "...and the MOUNTAINS deee polenta la li la laaaaaa..." We are silly but up to a certain point, there’s a rotating Mestrina that can't be phonetized by the non-natives!

At the moment, however, it seems to me that this year the "freaky stuff" in sweet and sour sauce that's the coolest is the debut of Tame Impala: "Innerspeaker" (and here some credit goes to MGMT, who first brought them on tour for their introduction and then directed them to that Decomposer of Dysphoric Sounds, Dave Fridmann, for their schooling ; ).

"When the coffin shakes... And the needle breaks... Come right away with me... Come on your sick?... Once and for all!" Yeaaah, always been a Deftones fan D.O.C. or ad HOC ; )

@ Chaos A.D. : they’re still around but now they won’t even sell those 2 copies, instead they’re just picking up a couple of exhausts (from the toilet ;). The rating is pure Nostalgia Canaglia and Senile Dementia that go tangoing in their underwear.

It seems to me that you are heading in the wrong (temporal) direction. The Korn were "experimental" in their early days. Personally, I believe that "Life Is Peachy" is quite clearly their most "avant-garde" album: there, in a good half of the songs, they didn’t care about wrapping things up according to the canonical standards of "song form," and even when taken individually, the tracks focus much more, compared to the self-titled debut, on the different components that characterized their "sound blend" (some pushing more towards the "noise" side, others towards the "industrial," and some even towards the brutalized funk or hip-hop, all of course without ever resorting to instruments beyond the 7-string guitar, bass, drums, and vocals... and, well, a bagpipe ;).

Among the few capable of extracting "pop songs" from any angle they choose to approach the sound matter.

But on Blow Up there's Zingales, who first gets high on grilled tires and then writes accordingly (all of his Kkkosssmic trips, which, if you don't find the kkoomic sides, tough luck for you!). Ah, "Idea di Beyus," speaking of trips in a haze, let’s not confuse rose water with the sciacquette: Newsom is here and knows her stuff quite well, Anja Plaschg isn't even good as an additive for a scrappy game of soapy football.

Well, it doesn’t seem like his latest “malloppone” has been reviewed yet, which is costly both in quantity and quality (a truly rare combination and often inversely proportional).

How could Mr. S.L. Clemens be unaware of the existence of foxes, octopuses, and assorted octopodi (not to mention exquisite ones)?! Ooohhh, poor Langhornone the Zuccone!

They’ve spoken well about it almost everywhere. And it’s hard to say it’s bad. But I didn’t find anything transcendental even at the compositional level, no particular spark (in this case, going a bit over the top from time to time wouldn’t have had a negative value) and a smooth and tidy production that certainly doesn’t help in deciphering any potential depths/roughness. Quite harmless (3--).
