Mmmmhm, I was indeed convinced that there was one, mostly because you can hear an electric bass (but it doesn’t sound like Holland at all) and because Brooks is listed among the musicians playing in Guinnevere. Unlike, for example, Joe Zawinul, who accidentally gets credited as acoustic piano on Splash, while you can’t hear a single note of acoustic piano (at least I struggle to hear it)...whatever in the end :-D I was intrigued by the versatility of that bassist who had already recorded with Dylan, the Doors, with Bloomfield and, not to mention, contributed to Bitches Brew!

One of my favorite artists. But I must confess that since 2006 I've sensed a decline in creativity. And the old days at a boiling point with Redman seem to be far away... I'm a bit skeptical but I will naturally listen.

I fully agree, a very interesting collection! A must-have for every Miles music lover. It would be a 3.5 that turns into a 4 for affection. I think you judged Teo's Bag a bit hastily; I find it one of the gems of the album, due not only to the magnificence of Carter's lines but also to one of the most abrasive and fiery "top moments" from Shorter, true napalm. Listen from 2:36 to 2:42, six infinite seconds of pure genius. Tony Williams, as always, confirms himself as the greatest drummer in history. P.S.: I think there’s also Harvey Brooks on electric bass on Guinnevere... moreover, I find it has a haunting and mysterious sound, not particularly "peaceful."

Tilt is unmatched, but damn, what great music and what a great artist.

The beauty of Debaser for me continues to be the reviews by Grasshopper, Odradek, Hal, Wanderer, JakeChambers. Written with expertise and passion, they are capable of teaching something thanks also to their wealth of details. Then again, everyone is free to write and prefer words to the wind...

A core, I'm sorry to insist but the original version ends with Blue Silk. It's called that everywhere, including the countless live performances from '63-'64...except for In Changes Two, I believe, where Mingus enjoys "distorting" it into Silk Blue. In Plays The Piano, on the other hand, he distorts it into Silk Blues...and it's clear that you only know these two...Anyway, since from your point of view you were right, I forgive you! Kisses

I really kicked your ass, little one. It’s obvious, reread the posts. Just because I exercised my right to comment, you flipped out like a hysterical queen, and I had to treat you like a little sister. My records are all original. The title of the track ends with "Then Blue Silk" as I told you, but it's not important. It just made me laugh that one second before you were preaching about the importance of titles, and then you were writing them with the words inverted. Ignorant, check it!! Kisses
