Ultimately... an excellent review! I don't envy that Paul Heller at all ;-) However, Zawinul was not simply a "collaborator" of Davis, and it was not a master-student relationship, but a 100% reciprocal exchange. Zawinul's importance in the creation of fusion was equal to that of Miles, not lesser. Everything actually began with the composition of "Nefertiti" by Wayne Shorter, for Miles' quintet; Zawinul said: "that was the beginning of a new world!"

Hysterical Checca, YOU are stupid and useless! Stick a cucumber up your ass! What a shame Dolphy... sooner or later I bet we'll organize something anyway!

Don't exaggerate; it's not that only Fellini, Welles, etc., are good—bring on an "Animal House" as well, but not the Vanzina brothers! Anyway, it's natural for the comments in a review to deviate from the subject of the review, and it can even be a good thing, but this can happen with any type of review. Given the same commentators, wouldn't it be even more stimulating for deeper insights to review stuff with a bit more weight? The advantage of reviewing these little films lies only in the fact that, more or less, everyone has seen them, perhaps ten years ago (which can also hold sentimental value), thus increasing the NUMBER of commentators. If one reviews a truly obscure and forgotten work, no matter how much of a masterpiece, the risk is to receive 0-6 comments, because no one has seen it. But I believe this should be fought against, using as "weapons" works of VALUE that are not too obscure but at least the name of the author/director is known... there's too much laziness; how many times, instead of taking inspiration and "trusting" the reviewer, do we shut ourselves within our confines of relative ignorance? It's easier to read and comment on reviews of which we know something, so the reviewer has to take this into account if they really want to communicate. However, if they also want to disseminate and share valuable and interesting things, the choice cannot fall on trash. This fosters anti-culture, a false communication like that of Vasco Rossi, who fills stadiums but has little to say!

What does sex have to do with anything, why do you always bring it up! Out of arguments, huh? Yeah, I have sex a lot, what's so strange about it? I understand that from your perspective as an ugly, stupid loser, the word "scopare" might seem like something miraculous, but for others, know that it’s a perfectly normal practice. Enjoy your cucumber, hidden away in the bathroom from your mom!

@Vellutogrigio: "Rich People's Stuff" is also an expression of this world, shall we give it a nice review and rate it a 4 maybe? Even torturing to death is an expression of this world, the bullying and beatings of those with disabilities in schools, sexual violence, 50 cent, Fabri Fibra, the Vanzina brothers, EVERYTHING is an expression of this world, MOSTLY the ugliness. There are already so many in everyday life, ENOUGH...

For the hysterical queen: you are the only arrogant one because I asked PAOLO for CLARIFICATIONS, and I didn't offend anyone, as you always do, especially with those who are better than you. I am simply astonished and annoyed by the new trend of digging up old garbage. Given your limited faculties, I understand that you might like Vacanze in America, but know that it is ANTICULTURE, meaning something that does not enrich the intellect and human sensitivity, but rather a crude and vulgar impoverishment. Obviously, there are also "borderline" works for which it is much more difficult to establish cultural value and importance, and in those cases, distinctions are made. But in this case, it is CLEAR that it is anticulture. Fortunately, there are people like Psychopompe who think like me about these unnecessary and stupid rescues, like you, after all. Some things need to disappear; they need to be sunk into the deepest abysses and that's it. There are far more important things to protect and save from oblivion, things that have always had SCARCE visibility, for example, and that possess artistic value beyond being easy and crude entertainment.

I read his profile, Paolo, and it only confirmed my "doubts." In fact, I see: "films and albums unjustly considered 'minor' by most critics." UNJUSTLY? Now it's all clear, so Vacanze in America is not a minor work and deserves to be rediscovered because it is part of Culture with a capital C! Happy for you...
