If our relationship worsens again, it's your fault, not mine ;-) I've put up with your crappy tastes, but not with your crappy ideas! Is it possible that every time you open your mouth, it's just to provoke? Can't you ever share an authentic thought of your own? This little game gets boring after a while. Know that I don't hold anything against you; I have no problem verbally letting you know that my thoughts are the opposite of yours (whether they're written to provoke or not). If you happen to be in Rome, I'll gladly keep a bowl of soup and a steak warm for you! But promise me we'll only talk about girls (at least then we'll get along, damn it ;-)))

Paolo, and to think that we’ve had many great STATESMEN. Great men who have given an identity and dignity to Italy... and the mafia was around back then too, I think. Less powerful perhaps, less organized, less hidden (and therefore more vulnerable), but still present. Here lies the dividing line: a TRUE politician is someone who DESIRES to improve the condition of a Country, and he is someone who considers organized crime a CANCER to be eradicated, PERIOD, not a respectable entity with which to establish "truce," "pacts," "friendships," "agreements," or worse, an entity to be feared, to which one surrenders and yields (even out of laziness and tiredness, this damn Italian complacency!). The mafia organism should never be mistaken for a "dinner guest," let alone a "symbiotic" one (in the microbiological sense of the term), but has always been and will always be a PATHOGEN. What would happen if the immune system of our body, instead of fighting infections, were to become corrupt like the "Grandpa Giulio" and collude with bacteria and viruses exchanging favors? Simple, the remaining cells of the body would slowly and INEXORABLY become ill, just like what has happened to Italy. We (who in this example represent the cells of the body) keep getting it in the ass also due to neutral and serene attitudes like yours, of people defeated by habit, by "how it is," who do not consider that the indifference of "but we can’t do anything about it, it’s always been this way, you’re naive" is the same as complicity. Andreotti is an ENEMY of Italy for god's sake, and you portray him as someone to thank! That nonsense about the highways... don’t you think they could have been built by non-mafioso companies?? ;-))) And the resorts? AH AH AH

I miss this disc of Sole Sole (Sun=Sole and Ra=Sole, but maybe I'm wrong?), and not of Louis XIV. I vote for the artist! He has made so many beautiful and brilliant ones... well done Doc for the proposal!

Dealing with the mafia is a mafia thing. And indeed, Andreotti was (is) a mafioso. The mafia should be eradicated with the army, not appeased. In the same way, the army should intervene to forcibly open the landfills. Il_Paolo, it's not that Andreotti should necessarily be hated, but to even speak of him affectionately, to define him almost with moved tenderness as "Grandpa Giulio" as you do is, in my eyes (and in the eyes of many), shameful and offensive. Similarly, the submissive -complicit- acceptance of a reality that should be opposed and fought against (at least ideologically!), that should be condemned from a moral standpoint, and not just "described" with complacency and a herd mentality, is, in my eyes, disgraceful.

Oh, no! I will oppose your abominable projections with my "Contista List." ;-) DEBASERIAN VOTE FOR THE ONLY COUNT THAT MATTERS!! Save the film forums and concert programs from Paolo's questionable lesser choices (without quotes)! Choose QUALITY. Choose ART.

Great review, very heartfelt. I won’t give you the maximum because I prefer a bit less poetry and more "facts," but it’s perfectly fine. I only know them on paper, alas, and they've been on my list for quite a while! And you know how long my lists are, right? ;-)

Andreotti is a criminal. Bossi and Calderoli are two criminals. And the "reasons of party," as Il_Paolo calls them, can shove it.
