And to think that you are also an editor... but shouldn't you be the moderators of the site instead of the provocateurs?

Hello dear friend, welcome to the site and congratulations on the absolute quality of this writing! I am also an audiophile and a jazz lover, and I acknowledge the supremacy of quality vinyl, despite having a setup with only a CD player (but perhaps with an unbeatable quality/price ratio; do you know the "zen" system?). Ray Brown is a bassist with excellent technical skills and a true professional, but in my opinion, his only flaw is his lack of interest in the evolution of jazz and a slightly lacking creativity. There's a reason why many renowned singers or soloists (like Peterson) often chose him as their go-to bassist: reliability and predictability. That worked well for that music, but try putting Ray Brown with Miles' quintet from the '60s or Coltrane's quartet, for instance... Harris is more than a good pianist; do you know his work with the "Three Sounds" during the Blue Note era? I’ve never heard of Gerryck King, though! The album intrigues me, even if I prefer jazz that dares a bit more. Best regards!

Damn Jake, you're leaving out what I think is the most beautiful of the whole list, and I'm not saying this because I reviewed it: "This Is Our Music"!! This Is Our Music - Ornette Coleman - Recensione di Contemplazione

Aje, where do you hear Miles quotes in Starsailor? I haven't really noticed much, can you point it out to me? Instead, I always hear an embarrassing similarity between the opening of the first track (the masterpiece "Come Here Woman") and the melodic line of the standard "April In Paris" ;-) As for availability on CD, up until a few months ago, I can say that neither title was available. Let's hope something really moves now... I mean, I have Starsailor burned from mp3 and know it by heart, but I want the original, I WANT TO PAY FOR IT!!

I'll give it some thought! But how does Horvitz behave?
Jan Garbarek & Marilyn Mazur Elixir

I don't think I would like it... Garbarek has been a parody of himself for a few years now, and to do what Mazur has tried to do here, I believe it requires a drummer of a higher class! Well done review.
