Anyway Jake, I might suggest you an album by Weber, "Yellow Field" from '75, not by Bruninghaus (who participates in the album), whose solo works I don't know... honestly, I've never appreciated him that much, so I never spent money on one of his albums! But here they’re whispering about the quality of this "Continuum"... mumble mumble

Garbarek has lost his edge, that's for sure! He should make a change, ditch his usual companions, and surround himself with bold and creative young musicians; who knows, it might inspire him. I can picture a quartet like this: Garbarek (tenor sax - and only that!), Jason Moran (piano), Larry Grenadier (double bass), and that genius Ari Hoenig (drums).

Hi Jake! Really great writing of yours, as always. Claudio Filippini is a great pianist in my opinion; I’ve heard him live too, and he left me with a beautiful memory... I only partially agree with the supposed lack of a "voice"; you can easily see and guess the influences and similarities with some great pianists in his playing (first of all, I would say the Herbie Hancock of the good old days), but that night I often saw fascinating ideas blooming and – given the spontaneity – authentic, original, personal, coming from his fingers.

Insist on divine healing then...if this isn’t fanaticism! And Paul's words have nothing to do with what I’m saying, because I am not the "one who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself as God." ...on the contrary, I do not exalt myself above anyone or anything, I simply disown the very concept of "God" and leave it to you! The temple of God does not exist for me. You sit there, convinced that you have been miraculously healed by your divinity as a reward for your fervent devotion. Aren't you one of the Jehovah's Witnesses? ;-)

So, the myth, it must have been a divine healing... and what would you have ever done to deserve it, more than the children who die every day from hunger and disease? You swear, be careful ;-). Coming to the purpose of life... why can’t everyone just live their life their own way while respecting others? And without making fanatical rankings, perhaps. Can’t you simply believe peacefully in any totem you like and mind your own business? What do you know about the meaning of MY life, of others'... you don’t even know the meaning of your own, as evidenced by the fact that you had to find something outside of yourself to kneel to, in order to give it one, to have a "direction." Enjoying beauty and pleasure is my religion, and that makes my life a never-ending novel, a continuous journey through the depths of human feeling and thought. What about you? You are consumed by fanaticism. Now pro nobis.

In fact, the healing process has fixed it for you, even the godless beasts have it.

Thank you for the visit! As a drummer, I’ll share my thoughts. You can consider the sextets as three couplets or as two tercets in the rhythmic breakdown, that is: ta-ra ta-ra ta-ra, or: ta-ra-ta ta-ra-ta. In the first case, you have the repetition of couplets (regular groups), in the second case, you have an even number of tercets, meaning a simple and especially symmetrical configuration. If you have quintets instead (for example), you must split them into a couplet and a tercet (asymmetrical), or into two couplets and a single (asymmetrical)... I hope I’ve made myself clear! Maybe I’m wrong and the sextets are categorized for some reason in irregular groups, but honestly, I don’t see why!

Damn, six months later!!! Are you joking?? Or did it just take you a long time to ponder your response? Anyway, we fundamentally disagree: you talk about PLAGUES, but if two married people no longer love each other, should they continue to make each other miserable for the rest of their lives just for the sake of being consistent with a value (eternal love) that has proven to be fictitious? I don't think that's the best thing… for me, rather than abolishing divorce, we should abolish marriage, that unnatural horrible contract, and replace it with free loving unions, free from the beginning to the (possible) end. Free, that is, also to conclude. As for the gay issue… what do we do, suppress them? Put an end to the plague? And do you think more than half of the clergy, including high-ranking and the highest offices, would escape the slaughter? Let's talk about legalized prostitution; would you want it illegal? Just to fuel crime and violence? In Amsterdam, instead, the girls work VOLUNTARILY, are legal, healthy, take regular tests, pay taxes, and, not least, often do it WITH PLEASURE. Isn't that better? Since you can never eradicate prostitution, it’s better to make it less "painful" and safer for the people involved! Regarding abortion, I have a lot to say, but I'm tired now, and you would certainly disagree. I'll just mention a couple of things. In my opinion, if people don't want children, it's better to take precautions beforehand, not afterwards… but, hypothetically, what if someone wanted the child, but severe malformations are detected at the ultrasound; wouldn't it be an act of love, of altruism, to prevent them from a life of terrible suffering and loneliness? I think the obsession with "birth at all costs" is primarily a product of hypocrisy and selfishness, not of love for life. It is the lack of courage to perform a dramatic yet necessary act, the desire to feel good about one's conscience disguised as philanthropy.

Why are sestets an irregular group? Why use the obnoxious term "Musica Colta" (with capital letters, by the way!)? Why write "improvvise acceleramenti"? Etc., etc. Great point, but I wasn't very excited by your writing, sorry!
