Werner Herzog La Ballata di Stroszek

Great film, which as you rightly say leaves no escape. The protagonist is truly pathetic, but also a bit enraging. Chicken Dance masterpiece!

I really don't think so, Jake! :-D PVC, what a fantastic festival!!! There's no comparison with the Umbria Jazz program, which, apart from the shows at the Teatro Morlacchi, is now in complete decline. And anyway, even at Morlacchi, there's no room for free music, but at most for "almost free." However, whether it's out of "affection" (I always go with my musician friends), or because there's a nice atmosphere in the streets, or because some proposals (even if mainstream) are still good, or just because it's close by, I always make sure to drop by. Going to Austria complicates things... maybe for the Konfrontationen 2011 (should we go together?).

Great Jake!! It seems like the classic album where the show-offs play at being serious musicians and almost succeed. Just one worry: that the pretense feels palpable... Hi Odra!! P.S.: tomorrow Umbria Jazz :-D

Hello Muito! Jake, you might have powers, but someone even more powerful must have resurrected you!!! A kind of Yoda of debaser...who's going to Umbria Jazz? The program at Morlacchi is interesting: Roy Hargrove Quintet, Tom Harrell/Dado Moroni Duo, Bobby Hutcherson/Cedar Walton Quartet, Bobo Stenson Trio, Louis Sclavis Quintet, Tarkovsky Quartet, Giovanni Tommaso Apogeo Quintet, Nik Bartsch's Ronin, David Binney Quartet and....Ron Carter Trio!!!

In addition to the albums rightly mentioned by our Mr. Wolf, I would recommend listening to Griffin accompanying Thelonious Monk on the albums In Action and Misterioso, recorded live at the five spot in '58. His break in Let's Cool One is textbook, and in his own way, he has made "history." I'm not familiar with the album in question. Enjoy the listening!
Gian Lorenzo Bernini Sepolcro di Urbano VIII
Voto:
Who cares that Bernini was a "suck-up." The work is a masterpiece! 5. Which 4.
Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio Crocifissione di San Pietro

Extraordinary masterpiece by the greatest painter.
