Herbie Nichols' triple CD is definitely full of masterpieces, but I find the comparison somewhat irrelevant and unhelpful. I quote Mullah on "Long live variety"!

Anyway, the second track gets tiring in the long run!

A record to live with often, for a few years. To go to bed with it, and let oneself be carried away into a silent emotion. To reach tears from the sixth to the fourteenth minute of the first track. Then to set it aside for a long time to avoid spoiling it. Afterward, to bring it out once a year (gradually two, three years), maybe to introduce it to some lucky person.

Even if he went back to Quintorigo, it wouldn’t make a dime of difference! ;-)
But I think it’s unlikely...

Hey there!! Thanks for the visit... well, for my tastes this is superior to Rospo, which does have some gems, and I also consider In Cattività to be better, but I find it less cohesive than this one, perhaps with some (small) missteps in the pursuit of an ambitious result. It's a great album in any case! Unfortunately, I’ve never delved deeply into De Leo's solo work; I’ve only heard (hastily) a couple of scattered tracks, which to be honest didn’t excite me back then… any recommendations?

Hi Jake, great writing! What a unique line-up... out of the four, it’s actually the nominal leader that I appreciate the least.
