Great review and an amazing album! The beginning of Rikki is a quote from "Song For My Father," a masterpiece by Horace Silver, the ultimate hard bop pianist.

Delightful film with an excellent soundtrack. The character of Amelie is undoubtedly inspired by the character of James Cagney in "The Time of Our Lives," from '48. He also seeks to improve the lives of the patrons of a café-bar-brewery, belonging to the most diverse humanity.

Good reception! The album? Great, like the triad of albums (all three at 5 or 4.5) that you mention at the end of the introduction. Hi Jake!
Ingmar Bergman Persona
Voto:
For me, Bergman's greatest masterpiece. Poignant, tremendous in its implications, technically wonderful, with performances at the highest level, and pure beauty in the face of Liv Ullmann, which becomes a landscape, a place of the soul. The alienation is not that of Vogler, trapped in "expressive mutism," but of the nurse Alma and her loquacious hypocrisy, inexpressive and, above all, unaware. The latter will come to understand her condition along the way, with the trauma that follows. The verbal component represents the real failure of any form of authentic communication, where it seeks to contain the swirling and uncontrollable motions of the soul, consciousness, and desire with limited words of insufficient depth.

Comments 7, 8, and 9 are just like I would have written them!! Bach's music lends itself to various instrumental interpretations, and in particular, the "well-tempered clavier" actually means the "well-tempered keyboard instrument." The same applies to the Goldbergs. Beautiful on the harpsichord, beautiful on the piano. For my tastes, more beautiful on the piano (I also have Gould 1981, I've even reviewed them). What can I say...immensity.

NO TO ANTHOLOGIES!! And especially NOT IN THIS CASE!! These are three records you must have. And they must not be broken up in any way. That's it.
