The Gary Burton Quartet Quartet Live

Dear Andrea, I agree with Odradek: you certainly shouldn't expect a "step forward" in jazz from these two musicians. They are mainstream artists par excellence! I have a good memory of this quartet from a live performance at Umbria Jazz last year, but especially due to the excellent performances by Swallow and Sanchez. When I saw the cover on the shelves I thought, "for heaven's sake!!", and I left it there. ;-) If you’re looking for adventurous and innovative stuff, flipping through a certain "libretto" you should have will reveal plenty. A hug.

the G.D.P. ...HA HA HA!! Anyway, they wouldn't just limit themselves to blocking you from a Cornell site. If they could be sure to get away with it, they would kill every opponent, not before stripping them of all their possessions and violently extracting the names of other opponents. Clearly, we cannot exclude the possibility that those sexually appealing to the torturers (whether of the opposite or same sex, adults, minors, or even infants or the elderly, whether alive, dying, or dead) would suffer repeated abuses.

By the way, I have a doubt: on the cover, is he picking his nose or arrogantly signaling to be quiet?

This de Lorenzo will be an emissary of the Berlusconi machine, tasked with probing various websites and adding openly hostile nicknames to electronic blacklists, to subsequently (when they can afford it) censor, neutralize, or eliminate them. I haven't read and will not read puppet writing number one, nor puppet writing number two. I vote on trust.

One of my favorite tracks from this album is Spiral. What do you think? It's definitely a record to buy, love, study, and listen to a hundred times. An enthusiastic review. My favorite album by Trane: Crescent (along with A Love Supreme, although I don’t always feel like listening to the latter).
Oscar Peterson And Joe Pass Porgy And Bess

Muff, indeed "It Ain't..." is one of the most successful tracks! The opening almost sounds like a theme by John Barry ;-)

Muff, I would say no, at least for my tastes; it's excessively mainstream in terms of improvisational ideas. Pleasant but somewhat dull, too predictable, and that harpsichord gets tiresome after a while! Before making a decision, I recommend listening to it in full at the link posted by fusillo, even if you don't find the audio satisfying.

The experiment of using the calvicordo seems to me more of a curiosity than an added value, and this record sounds a bit off-key and somewhat affected to my ears. Both Peterson and Pass have done much better...

Great review for an album that unfortunately I'm not familiar with but, by the looks of it, I think I would really like! In the meantime, I’ll add myself to the list of wise advisors and urge every human being to buy Extrapolation... and the first two by Mahavishnu by the day after tomorrow. Hello to friends!
