I had forgotten to reply to you, Muffin! I only know Beehive and Blemish, which I recommend, but PVC and Mariaelena are definitely more knowledgeable than I am about Sylvian...

Kosmo, in post 83 you write: "Obviously, if you post comments with the private data (like name and surname) of Debaser users, as you did on that occasion, the comments are deleted, and if the user in question complains (as the user in question did on that occasion), a ban is also considered. Normal administration." However, when your friend violated my privacy and I complained, you didn't give a damn, and the good Claudio, the privacy and rights guardian you advised me to contact, just made fun of me and acted all superior. Normal administration?

I heard the single and that's enough for me. A shame.

Louis Armstrong The Silver Collection

On the 4th, why do you define "Hotter Than That" and "Potato Head Blues" as the minor episodes of the collection... if anything, they are the MAJOR episodes, they are the TRUE Armstrong!!! He himself admitted that from the 1930s onward, he only gave the public what he thought the public wanted (big smiles, funny faces, clownish tricks, and catchy tunes), neglecting much of his true identity, that of a brilliant and instinctive improviser, and not of an entertainer!!

Mmmmmhm... given that I don't like compilations, and even less so Armstrong's compilations, I'm here to dissect two or three notes. The Armstrong worth promoting, in my opinion, isn't so much the one of the "songs" ("When The Saints Go Marchin' In" and "What A Wonderful World," to name the most famous ones, even the stones know those!!), that smiling, agreeable mask with bulging eyes, but rather the SOLIST Armstrong of the trumpet (but also of the voice), an innovative, revolutionary artist who in the 1920s created a totally unprecedented universe of expression for the trumpet and wind instruments, the one who first created a unique and unrepeatable SOUND, the one who elevated jazz from mere entertainment music for brothels, dives, and muddy streets to Art music, to be listened to!! And this Armstrong can be found primarily in the complete recordings of the Hot Five & Hot Seven already mentioned by good Muffin. These are the 4 records you must have at all costs; I recommend the JSP edition, excellent in audio quality and low in price. Then I agree on Porgy & Bess, that's a must-have too, a classic!

It makes perfect sense, but how did you not understand comment 201? :-)

In short, how can one in 2009 be "struck" or "scandalized" by an image that was created with this intent? By now we should be immune!

Muffin's comment 201, for those who didn't understand, was obviously an expression of intelligent criticism towards the excessive ease with which "dissolute," "provocative," "scandalous," "vulgar," "disturbing," "subversive," "heretical," "extreme" ideas and images can be conceived and spread. It really takes nothing!! It's amateur sport! And above all, it's absolutely pointless! Anyone present, with a bit of imagination, if they had the entourage behind this cattelan, would outshine him in his own field.
