Sergio Leone Per Qualche Dollaro In Più

One of the few films I have seen dozens of times. Definitely the best of the three, or rather of the two, because "Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo" is completely different. Here we have the best soundtrack, the best screenplay, the best "story," the best cast, the best show. The colonel's revenge is poignant, the rivalry between the two is hilarious, with a superlative Klaus Kinski who is truly frightening, not to mention the immense Gian Maria Volonté, perhaps in his absolute best role. A villain so charismatic and complex, almost lost in his moments of reflection-daze, from which he abruptly awakens as if from a nightmare to return to his "normal" evilness. The fact is that he loved the colonel's sister retroactively all his life, desperate and destroyed by the remorse for the harm he had caused her. After her suicide, Indio could no longer turn back; committing atrocities became his only escape... you can't hate him because he is also, in his way, a victim! The scene in which he dreamily watches a dying cockroach thrash in agony on the table is, for me, one of the most profound moments of introspection in the history of cinema. He observes his own dying self!

Memories of the first year of high school...forced to watch them on the little black and white TV that never really tuned in!!!
Walter Veltroni Il Disco del Mondo: vita breve di Luca Flores, musicista

Yes, no one questions the sincerity...it’s simply poorly written, repetitive, and rhetorical for me! If we give a "grade for intention," we're in trouble—five out of ten in the "cinema" section for amateur footage, five out of ten in the "music" section for end-of-year performances. In short, this is not a real book, just as Veltroni is not a writer.
Walter Veltroni Il Disco del Mondo: vita breve di Luca Flores, musicista

The book is really mediocre...the topic covered is instead interesting, and Luca Flores was an important artist in Italian jazz. I also recommend "For Those I Never Knew". The movie "Piano Solo" is a 3, better than the one from the book!
Werner Herzog Fata Morgana

Brilliant, pure visual poetry
Werner Herzog Aguirre, Furore Di Dio

Stunning performance by Kinski, stunning direction, stunning cinematography. However, Kinski's peak as an actor remains Woyzeck (also by Herzog) in my opinion. The scene of the murder of the wife by stabbing is perhaps one of the greatest in the history of cinema!
