Eberhard Weber Later That Evening

I don't like Bruninghaus with Garbarek either, but back in the day, he did quite original things with Weber... at least very suited to that type of music.

By the way, the cover is a horrifying thing! I believe Weber's wife was drawing them...

I couldn't miss it! In my opinion, the album isn't among his best, with Lyle Mays as a "substitute" not quite up to par with Rainer Bruninghaus, and McCandless not in his ideal territory (Charlie Mariano was the perfect fit for Weber's music in my view). The slightly earlier "Little Movements" is better, featuring precisely the two musicians I just mentioned, plus John Marshall on drums, who is on another level compared to DiPasqua, who feels a bit anonymous. Nevertheless, the album is good; I would rate it a 3.5. My absolute favorites by Weber are: "Yellow Fields" and the beautiful "Pendulum" from '93, recorded in complete solitude.

Frantz, here Bollani is at his most lyrical!

Drum programming?? Bleargh!! Anyway, I have a similar opinion about the Brecker brothers and Marsalis; I consider them excellent musicians but mediocre artists. Nonetheless, they have done some good things, including perhaps the album being reviewed.

It's true, Gonzo Putrescente, by the way, you have the habit of saying "let's open the connection" before you actually set it up. Nice breasts though, I still remember them fondly!

A fundamental artist, I'd say! Everything is perfect to make him go down in history once and for all: name, album title, cover art, and the fact that he hooked up with D’Urso. Let's reassess people, let's reassess... anyway, he'll always be better than Vasco Rossi (who also hooked up with D’Urso), I'm absolutely sure of that!

How could you not find it essential? I quote Jake! MECOJONI... anyway, it's impossible to keep up with Zorn, what the hell, he should give himself a little limit too!
