Tori Amos Strange Little Girls
Voto:
It's a matter of tastes, and as mentioned in the review, I also suspended my judgment, and this is definitely not the work for which Amos will be remembered! Anyway, in order: A) The "tristazizzione" of the pieces is part of a preordained scheme, so it is intentional, but it's understandable if it doesn't appeal to everyone. B) It's obvious that when it comes to covers, the originals usually win. C) All the arrangements are personally taken care of by Amos; if not in execution, certainly in ideas (she hasn't let herself be guided for years, and she's one of the few), try listening to "Boys for Pele" and "From the Choirgirl Hotel," and you'll realize that the unusual and not exactly pianistic arrangements are well within her range. In the '90s, Tori was the singer-songwriter who most transformed her style, producing 5 very different albums from one another. Of course, if one stops at "Little Earthquakes" (the first), it's easy to associate her with a certain type of style (and this leads to making certain comparisons with Bush, for example), but the reality is much more varied and expansive. Bye!

Instead you are mistaken, anyone who reasons in absolutes is wrong.
@Boy: all your arguments support the uniqueness of the film; you don't like it? I like it very much.

@Tom: This is also all to be seen. If I'm not mistaken, it’s Tarantino who claims to teach Italians how to make cinema (especially coming from him, who hasn’t done it decently in at least 10 years) and not Shyamalan. I think the irony is a matter of styles.

@BlacK: but if Tarantino has lost any kind of authorship for 10 years, limiting himself to copying here and there, at least Shyamalan brings something original, whether you like it or not, he tries to put it in. As for style, we should understand what Tarantino's style is versus what he takes from others; M. Night's is intrinsically his own. Quotes are quotes and not just mere copying.

@Black: I don't want to raise a stir, but I think when it comes to cunning, at least in citing (copying) Tarantino, he wins 101 to 0...

Maybe he really wanted to build it around trivial fairytale mechanisms, don't you think? As for the confusion, stylistically and from the Script's point of view, I don't see where you could find it.
P.S.: "The Sixth Sense," although beautiful, I consider his least successful film.
Queensrÿche Warning

In Queensrÿche, there is only a germinal spark of Prog Metal, which is nonetheless something quite different. This does not detract from their merit and does not undermine the historical importance of this enormous band. Recently, there have been historically inaccurate statements written on DeB regarding Metal (such as associating the Priest with the NWOBHM); I would like to know your sources.
