Lucio Dalla e Francesco De Gregori Work in Progress @ Teatro Arcimboldi (MI) 06.05.2010

...I was there too...also because the theater is behind my house...well, I wouldn't say it's a commercial operation...I don't think they need certain things at their age...on the contrary, they seemed honest to me...I liked the concert, it was a bit what I expected...of course, it’s not like we could expect them to do La Sera dei Miracoli, Stella di Mare, or Madonna Disperazione...but it's all good like this...

Well, Dr. F, it’s not that I want to be snobbish, but I don’t find much in El Diablo and Terremoto. Il Volo and Prima Guardia were actually not bad. Different tastes, what can you do?

Yes, Dr. Fottermeier, you're right, I stand corrected. The reunion, however, just Ghigo and Piero, probably isn't a matter of interests. They probably just wanted to play again in packed arenas. Even though I don't understand what you find appealing in El Diablo and Terremoto, except for Fata Morgana. Well, different tastes...

Nice album. Even if you can start to feel a shift towards the mainstream driven by Pirelli, to the point that Maroccolo began to turn up his nose. Still, it contains beautiful songs, especially Cuore di Vetro. After this album, there's very little left to save. I saw them recently in Milan and I actually liked them. They sang several songs from their early albums, some of which were poorly rearranged. The reunion, however, is a matter of interests, not friendship, as Ghigo was about to play at my house and Piero the same (he wanted to become like Ligabue but it didn't work out for him). Pelù, however, in his tacky and tough version, that is not in the polished MTV version, is an unbeatable frontman.

Nice album, much better than the previous one.

What you're saying is also understandable. But look, at 40 you’re not old. Especially since I would be your age.

A somewhat pretentious album, at times boring. I remember coming across Tafuri (a respected musician, who now accompanies Alice) at a Gazzè concert many years ago and talking quite a bit about this album. He, who I believe was a co-author, insisted it was a great album. In any case, he is one of the few singer-songwriters who hasn’t lost his touch over time. In fact, his latest album is beautiful. A great artist.
