"It's been a while since I've been to any English-speaking country, today that I no longer drink." The review is really nice and original, but see to go to Ireland and start drinking again.
Roberto Vecchioni Montecristo
Voto:
I had hinted that my motivation was trivial and stupid. Personally, I can't listen to someone who, on a gut level, turns my stomach. So what? Isn’t that a sufficient motivation? But excuse me, Alfredo, you contradict me and then say the same things I do? I don’t care that he built a villa. It disgusts me that someone despises money to create a suitable image for a singer-songwriter and then doesn’t actually despise it. If someone says, "I was a communist but I wrote some great songs and became rich, and I still remain a communist out of principle," that’s fine by me. I don't like those who disdain money because it is necessary. It is necessary to develop one's passions. My comment wasn’t meant to be about music but about psychology.

Vecchioni is one of the few singer-songwriters I know little about and that I don't make an effort to get to know. The reason is trivial and stupid; instinctively, I can't stand him. He comes across as smug and arrogant. He has always seemed to me like someone who despises money but secretly seeks it and enjoys it. I remember an interview from a few years ago in which he got irritated by an allusion to his villa, if I remember correctly, in Tuscany: "I built it to bring only my lifelong friends, the real ones" (I think it was during the prefab jokes of Scherzi a Parte). There are people who remain faithful to their ideals (Guccini, Fiumani) but I don’t think Vecchioni is one of them. I can't delve into someone I take an instant dislike to. It's just a gut feeling, perhaps wrong.
Ligabue Lambrusco Coltelli Rose & Pop Corn
Voto:
Gbrunoro, you are right. What does culture have to do with Ligabue and Vasco Rossi? The first three albums by Ligabue had good songs, just like Vasco Rossi’s albums up to C'è chi dice no, which contained beautiful songs with lyrics accessible to everyone. They didn't aim to be cultured albums. Let’s forget about Dimentichiamoci questa città, Canzone, La nostra Relazione; they were wonderful songs. Now, in my opinion, if someone criticizes a certain part of Italian music, they don’t truly understand Italian music. I hope no one brings up Fossati and culture now. They are two different things. One is easy listening, the other is commitment. But light-heartedness and disengagement are fundamental aspects of life. Personally, I couldn’t listen to De Andrè, Fossati, and Conte all the time. A good OLD Vasco Rossi is always a nice touch.
Renato Zero Tutti Gli Zeri Del Mondo

Zero has done some good things until Tregua. This album is indefensible. Terrible.

Well, it is often known that popular nationalism is "killed" excessively to gain credibility and respect. Gbrunoro, you are right. Often it is a disdain for the audience, for mass phenomena.

A record with several good songs (Regalami il tuo sogno, the title track, Sarà un bel Souvenir, Con queste facce qui). Ligabue's first three albums had good songs here and there. The worst will come from Buon Compleanno Elvis (from which I would save only Certe Notti and Leggero) onwards, reaching the peak of ugliness in Miss Mondo. I’m sorry there are such negative comments about this otherwise pleasant album.

Punk is a great album, with bold themes for the times it was released, and it's a lot of fun. However, these angry and adolescent songs can't be considered the best part of Ruggeri's work, which, in my personal opinion, comes later with masterpieces like Vivo da Re or Il Portiere di Notte or albums like Tutto Scorre. I've already discussed Ruggeri enough in my one review and I don't want to go into detail. I don’t think he votes Forza Italia. In fact, I think he has moved, by all appearances, from the far right (as rumored early in his career) to the left, having recently performed at the May Day concert and considering his partner and the themes of some of his latest songs. Or maybe he doesn’t care at all. Personally, I consider him a good singer-songwriter, even today.
Daniel Lanois Belladonna
Voto:
Yes, I remember that U2 collaborated in some way with them. This is it is a single from Songs from the Rain. Personally, I prefer the first and second, which are People and Home. If you like them, maybe you could write a review. It's not nice to ask others to write a review, but you, in my opinion, write well and I'm very lazy.

I have For the Beauty of Wynona but it doesn't drive me crazy, I'll try this instead. Why don't you review something by the Hothouse Flowers (like Home or People or Songs from the Rain), you should like them, they're not too far from the Waterboys.
