Zucchero Bluesugar
Voto:
When I read Primiballi's opinion, who called it "the egg outside the basket of Sugar's career," I hoped to delude myself into thinking that Zucchero had written his swan song with "SpiritoDiVino." When I heard it, not much had changed. Some songs felt empty and grotesque... like "Donkey Tonkey," "Puro Amore," or "Karma, Stai Calma" (with all due respect to Irene). On the other hand, there are certain tracks like "Arcord," "Back 2 U," or "(Temporaneamente) X Sempre Tuo" that didn't seem bad upon first listen. Since I can't decide whether to give it 2 or 3, I prefer not to rate this "Bluesugar." In any case, the work is definitely better than the subsequent "Shake" or the tragic "Zu & Co." But by now, it's unclear which direction Zucchero wants to take... to do slick tricks or sensible pieces? Or to do both? Who knows.

@47: Just think that the ones you disdain I really like, even though I put them in the background compared to the first half of the album, which, for fairness, is the one we both prefer :D

Moreover, I think what I said in the Maiden review is much clearer than the reasoning, in my opinion convoluted, of XYZ...

Aristocat, are you still following the Maidens? "Virtual XI" has always given me the creeps, both because Iron Maiden had already lost that magic of the early albums (up to "Seventh Son...") and because Blaze Bayley has always seemed like a clown to me... there must be things that give you the creeps too, right? Come on... if "Virtual XI" is one of the best albums of the '90s, then I’ll stop here because I would just get mad!
Tori Amos Little Earthquakes
Voto:
Music from a feminine perspective is also represented by this album. A Tori that is intense, perhaps even tough. Up until "Scarlet's Walk" (excluding "Strange Little Girls," which has never really interested me), she has always been able to pull out gems not to be underestimated. As for her recent albums, I should find them, and personally, I hope she hasn't lost a bit of her sparkle... but, as we know, Amos's class is not to be taken lightly.

"Since they're all the rage among the Italian indie crowd, they really get on my nerves." What kind of reasoning is that? If you've never listened to them, how can you say that? Do they give you a bad vibe right off the bat?

Cla, good Al has definitely left a more noticeable mark compared to Rob, but the latter has also contributed (and I hope continues to do so).

The 24 Grana are one of those bands that this country doesn't deserve. (to put it like Luttazzi)

I stand by my opinion: for me, the third best album by After after "Hai Paura Del Buio?" and "Non è Per Sempre." All three followed by "Germi," "Quello Che Non C'è," and "Ballate Per Piccole Iene." p.s. hahahahahahhahaahh for the nickname.
