"Someone named Vasco in Italy has nothing to say, period." But what is it, a pseudo-Nietzschean phrase?

Yes, because Maionchi had worked with De André years ago... and Ventura was likable before hosting useless reality shows...

I wanted to review it myself (again), but Trip got to it first. Anyway... Morgan, as I see it, is a kind of "showman," a very likable character, whether you like him or not. Regarding X-Factor (a damn show with a damn host and two airheads, the today's Maionchi and Ventura), I must say he’s the only one who brings some liveliness, even though, let’s be honest, the typical 80s look of the Bluvertigo era suits him better. And while I consider "Canzoni Dell'Appartamento" and "Da A Ad A" to be two excellent albums, I think Castoldi gave his best with the Bluvertigo, a band I’m very fond of (he and Andy are the Italian version of Dave Gahan and Martin Gore). This album is very beautiful, almost a 5 (I round it up :D), but "Metallo Non Metallo" is even better. Moreover, in my opinion, I don’t think their citationism is clumsy, pseudo-intellectual, or poorly executed; on the contrary, I believe it has its reasons, even though in an era like this it wouldn’t be easy to understand. But, differences in likability aside, what they did in the 90s is also HISTORY.

Hypocritical, I wouldn’t say; after all, if Agnelli said, ā€œThe challenge is to go to Sanremo without becoming Sanremized,ā€ it seems to me anything but hypocritical. In fact, it seems like one of the many challenges devised by Agnelli over the years. Then again, well, those are opinions, and I bet you’ll hate me for this... since for you, they have become Sanremized :D don’t worry, I don’t think like a fan, because I’d be too extreme like Chinaski82!

...but in my opinion, it would have been better to wait until the 20th before reviewing it...

Ah, I almost forgot one thing: when an album, in most cases (see Baustelle), is released by a major label, benefits are derived from radio play, but even if something makes you think otherwise, Baustelle are not commercial, just like Il Genio are not (even if they are clearly inferior to Bau!). That said, whether the songs are liked or not, that's another story.

Damn, I'm really tempted to listen to this album judging by the comments...

Maybe they wanted to give Tiziano a proper place, away from the pre-packaged crap he does... well, they succeeded, too bad Titty still keeps doing his crap XD

Come on Lux (who I actually find quite likable all in all), not everyone who goes to Sanremo is one of "the usual suspects." Groups and singers who have managed to be themselves have gone to Sanremo too, even ending up last in the "final ranking" (whatever...) due to an audience of elderly folks. Think of Subsonica, Bluvertigo, Nada (the latest Nada, I mean), Deasonika, Frankie Hi-NRG MC, and more recently Gazzé. Only Cristicchi, the Elii, and Avion Travel placed higher in the "final chart," and honestly, that seems like a good thing to me, since their performances were more than worthy (like those mentioned above). And honestly, I'm hopeful about the Afterhours...who, by the way, were strongly wanted by Mr. Paolo Bonolis. And rightly so, Agnelli himself has said that, even though the Afterhours are LIGHTYEARS away from Sanremo (and I personally agree), sometimes "self-ghettoizing does more harm than good." I don't blame him...
