It was 1995 when Bluvertigo recorded this visionary and unconventional album.
"Acidi e Basi" is the first album that forms "La Trilogia Chimica" which then continues with "Metallo Non Metallo" and concludes with "Zero".
Bluvertigo is one of those bands that have left an indelible mark on the history of Italian music. They have always hated restrictions and barriers of any kind, Morgan is one of the geniuses of the new millennium, his lyrics "out there" like never before and at the same time damn true, are real gems of originality and style.
Musically, the album is the most rock of the group, very inspired by the '80s new wave, from which they acquired the best ideas to mix with their very personal style. They sign a masterpiece of the alternative rock scene of the time, one of those so-called "fundamental" albums, although, perhaps, the real milestone of Morgan & co is "Zero" which will see the light in '99.
But let's talk about what makes this album great, the songs. Songs that range from the angry rock of "L'eretico" which criticizes the behaviors of many bigoted and hypocritical religious people, to the wonderful ballad "I Still Love You" which tells of a troubled love, a song full of pathos that shows that romantic songs are not necessarily those of Laura Pausini or, the much-loved by Morgan, Marco Masini.
There is also room for a cover of Depeche Mode, "Complicità", taken from "Black Celebration". Their version is an incredible reinterpretation, it quickly became a classic of their concerts; a piece that cannot leave anyone unmoved thanks to its immense emotional charge.
"Salvaluomo" is an attack on every form of homogenization and channeling into a single thought on a electro-funk-rock musical carpet. Morgan's criticism of the "normal" and uniform attitudes prevailing in our society is always sharp, refined, and imaginative. As he says, indeed, "...imagination saves man...".
But Bluvertigo, besides being a band that has always used unique and inimitable melodies, lyrics, and ideas, are also superb musicians. Marco Pancaldi's guitar provides the rock energy, Morgan's legendary bass (who also takes care of synthesizers and pianos) offers a full and hypnotic sound, accompanied by Sergio Carnevale's drumming and Andy's elegant and psycho sax at the same time.
Bluvertigo should be considered one of the most innovative formations in our artistic-musical landscape, a group that with its charisma and eccentricity has captured the hearts of their fans who are eagerly waiting for the release of their new work scheduled for 2009, 10 years after "Zero".
Who knows if they will be able to give the world another masterpiece in the name of beauty and creativity, as they have accustomed us to in the past... but this, as someone once said "...we will only discover by living..."

ODIO - sempre scomodo parlarne
ODIO - poi sembra di essere gli stronzi
ODIO - veramente un paradosso
ODIO - forse meglio lasciar stare
ODIO - Masini e le sue ansie
ODIO - e provo tutti i sentimenti
ODIO - oltre all'amare e il tollerare
ODIO - quando mi portano ad odiare
Bisogna sempre tentare di farsi accettare?
Bisogna sempre scrivere solo testi d'amore?
E' necessario ogni volta mentire al nostro cuore?
non sarebbe meglio liberarsi e confessare?

It is the beginning of the chemical trilogy. A journey of three albums in which Bluvertigo will synthesize what they call 'Blob Rock' everything that is good.
The work on the lyrics is fabulous, so original and unique.
