Well.....................I'm giving you a 5 because it’s perfectly clear that it's a surprise from the debaserian Easter egg. But then...Death metal? Marco Carta DEATH METAL? GUYS, THIS IS AN EASTER JOKE, YOU BET IT IS!

@hymnen: I understand personal tastes. Federico can do as he pleases. My clarification above (which you claim to have not understood) was due to the fact that I was surprised to read that he places one of the Dream Theater songs at the top of his list of the most beautiful endings in music, when: 1) from my point of view, there is no more beautiful ending to an album, but rather well-crafted endings - like the whole album - and endings that are something else entirely; 2) as I mentioned before, there are not just Dream Theater, but also other bands, prog or not. In fact, I cited Slint, dEUS, Dinosaur Jr., Fugazi, and... Porcupine Tree. But by mentioning these... I delve more into post-rock, post-hardcore, indie... so I go beyond prog (see also PT). It's too easy to say that Dream Theater are your favorite band if you've never heard bands like these... maybe if Federico had listened to such bands, he wouldn't have written what we read in the review :D

Well, of the examples in question, the most well-known is definitely Harrison, but I imagine less than Portnoy...

Hymns, the discussion is not about whether or not to appreciate Dream Theater (of which, let me be clear, I like some albums), but it's that (especially in recent years, and I've only recently noticed) certain people judging by what they write seem to consider them as gods descended to Earth, strangely equating the emotions they feel when listening to their songs with the emotions they feel when listening to King Crimson (as in this review). In short, there is the audacity to compare Petrucci to Fripp, when they belong to different genres, different worlds, and different stories. And Federico risks being one of those. But there is more to the world than just Portnoy; pulling another random member from DT, there are other drummers in the music world that I personally prefer over him. Examples? Gavin Harrison, Britt Walford, Murph, Brendan Canty, Jules De Borgher (back in the day). But I don’t know if Federico has ever heard of Slint, or Fugazi, or dEUS. If someone is all technique and no emotions, there is no quality. Portnoy has sometimes managed to reconcile technique and emotion, but it’s pointless to deny that he has let himself go in the worst ways at certain moments... as if he were a demigod. Instead, a Britt Walford (to return to one of my examples) has never gotten stuck in mental knots over techniques, quite the opposite. Excuse the glaring aside...

Debate aside, I’m just now returning to this review and I discover that the part directed at me in comment 13 is a vortex-of-bullsh*t. Sorry, that wasn't what I meant. If you were trying to mess with me, you didn't make me laugh.

I'm listening to it right now. Beautiful, beautiful, this is Soul with a capital S. I've admired Erykah for a long time... and I still need to get "New Amerykah Part One"! p.s. the rating for the review :D
Dinosaur Jr. You're Living All Over Me

I've been getting into Dinosaur Jr. for a while now (I've picked up "Beyond," "Bug," and "Where You Been") and I'm missing this album... I only know "Little Fury Things," which is a BANGER!
Franco Battiato L'imboscata

Together with "Gommalacca," the best of Battiato from the Sgalambrian era. "La Cura," "Strani Giorni," "Di Passaggio," "Ecco Com'è Che Va Il Mondo," "Splendide Previsioni"... no words are needed.
