So Ole, my base camp was Canazei, which is in Val di Fassa and the province of Trento, but I virtually traveled all over the T.A.A., from Val Gardena to Val Badia, to Pusteria, Bozen, Meran, Brixen, Sterzing, St. Ulrich, etc. The Konditorei everywhere make Austrian and German pastries very, very well; after all, the South Tyroleans are Austrians, not Italians! :-) Where did you go to winter instead?

All sorts of bullshit and lies have been said about Arnold, and he's been attributed a myriad of fakes that aren't his. I was very close to him, and he would reveal all his fakes to me... one was only used to write very nice reviews, and some who insulted him continuously would go and kiss his ass... yes, he was a pain in the ass with the records that he thought were crap, but I never saw him throw tantrums like Pippo, for example. And for defending him, I even felt like being told off, as if I were his mother and other such nonsense :-DDD

ahem, I would like to clarify that the cima alla genovese is not filled with scraps; it is the belly of the bovine, stuffed with a filling made of eggs, peas, lettuce, carrots, pine nuts, and at the discretion of the chef, other ingredients... said like this, it sounds like an unpleasant thing to eat :-).........the verses in the nineteenth century are not in German, but a jumble of German words or words that sound like German (alkaseltzer, zanzibar)
