Well, a film that left me perplexed at the time, certainly not the best with De Niro... On the other hand, director Joffe is someone who managed to ruin The Scarlet Letter, which, like this film, gives the impression that it was made with high aspirations and taking a step longer than the leg can stretch. In short, put simply, the director is mediocre.
