maryg, I never said otherwise! "In Utero" is a masterpiece in this sense. Anyway, Alice is something impressive in how sick they are, both the music and the lyrics, desperate and despairing ;) If you want, listen to "Dirt" or the self-titled album, for example.

I would feel like quoting Arnold's post, damn, will you forgive me? :D It's clear that we stand on different positions, and that no one will convince the other to change their opinion! However, you must at least admit that Arnold's arguments are well articulated just as much as yours are. Probably, there is no absolute truth. Anyway, it's interesting how a certain type of music is viewed by different people in such diametrically opposed ways!
