Jurix, I think I'll take a stroll through your stoner reviews in search of some gems. I've only vaguely heard of these, but I really like the cover. However, I don't overly love Kyuss (sorry for the blasphemy), let alone the copies. But maybe I'll give it a try, who knows.

I don’t know, I find your position unnecessarily drastic. It’s a typical argument from someone who can't stand a music genre as a whole. Yet even progressive music, before contorting into an onanistic and sterile exercise of style, had some extraordinary expressions in certain cases (KC, VDGG for example, and many lesser-known bands). Whether they might not appeal to many is another matter. As for the rest, I thank you, but perhaps I was wrong to get tangled up in that discussion; some people sometimes deserve nothing more than silence.

I agree Gae, VDGG are an incredible band, and I don't really think they were that millionaire, to be honest. The discussion, however, is quite trite and even sterile. Geb, you're spouting a load of nonsense in my opinion. Clear choice of side: I mean, either punk or progressive? What the hell does that mean? We're not in politics here. One can perfectly appreciate both prog and punk bands at the same time. Then, being tiresome can be valid, at least in some cases, but harmful? Harmful for what? And what do Genesis have to do with Dream Theater, that's something only you know.

Well, it looks like there was half a debaser incognito here, damn it!

Bartle, who else was there besides Rocky??? The bartender looked so young, are you sure? She didn't seem that old to me! @alessio, I'm actually a bit worried about tomorrow night, I don't want them to have a heart attack during a Mascis solo ;D

Good job, Franci. This story about punk sweeping away prog is a simplistic cliché that’s really annoying. Progressive was already dead for quite a while, a suicide :)

Uh, I didn't think you were interested in Electric Wizard, buddy. Anyway, the reviewer here had the bright idea to write to me that he had decided to go see them (and stay at my place) exactly the day before, when I was already pretty sure that it wasn't going to happen and had taken on completely different commitments! But then look, it was better this way; in such heat, in such a closed place, without air, at your age, it's not really good for you, you know?

We Rocky!!!! Maybe we even crossed paths! It's a shame I didn't know before that you were there too!

Wow! I didn’t think you’d make it! I mostly agree with everything; the venue and organization were terrible, but in the area, there are probably 2 or 3 spots that offer live shows of this level, often attended by a crowd of about thirty people, so maximum respect regardless. And I'm glad to hear that it seems they've decided not to close up shop anymore. I want to defend the bartenders; they might not have been the best, but just the two of them in that chaos, that heat, and without any breaks must have been quite a challenge. I barely knew them, but I really enjoyed the concert, better than I expected. Plus, I randomly ran into the metalhead from my high school class after years! :) The only thing is, an hour of concert, although intense, felt really short, especially considering this was the only Italian date and many people traveled hundreds of kilometers to see them. I was also a bit surprised by the complete lack of interaction with the audience: not a word between songs, not even a greeting or a minimum thank you. Total zero. Who cares, but I don’t know, either they are super shy (and Jus didn’t seem particularly outgoing at the exit) or they're a bit rude. Maybe I got spoiled with Colour Haze, who played for over an hour and a half (in one case free entry, in the other 5 euros for 5 bands) in both times I saw them this year, and despite being very reserved and quiet, they always managed some decent interaction with the audience (even if you can’t understand a word of what Stefan mumbles). Anyway, great experience, thanks bartle!
