An obsessive and claustrophobic record like few others; after all, the cover left little room for doubt. A masterpiece, even though my favorite Cave remains that of Good Son. The review is stunning and ends up among the favorites; it's nice to rediscover these old gems in the depths of Debaser every once in a while.

The genre doesn't appeal to me, but the review is worth a read. Good luck with your research.

It could interest me. One piece of information: is the singing in growl/scream et similia or is it clean? Hi Vincent :-)

Listen Starblazer, what tracklist do you have? I'm just realizing that the song I mentioned earlier (Down in a Hole) you talked about, but for you it would be the fourth track while to me it's the second to last... Then you mention Sickman as the fifth track and right after you bring it up again as the seventh. A bit of confusion or am I mistaken? :D @surfer, he he, I think the transition from the big chills to the big heats has made you a bit less tolerant ;-)))

Le-wis To-lla-ni Le-wis To-lla-ni :-) So far, your suggestions have never let me down, and if you mention Arcadium and High Tide, I can’t help but look them up immediately.

The review isn't badly written, but it's the fourth for this album and it's a bit too filled with unnecessary exaggerations (you'll be stoned, I warn you, for that "best band of the '90s") and comparisons with other "grunge" albums that sound worn out and seem to be there just to generate the usual silly debates about "better this, better that." The fact that this album gets under your skin isn't due to the more heavy metal attitude (which is there anyway) but to the sick and claustrophobic melodies, to the despair and helpless anger that seeps from every note and from Staley's voice. Then, you give me a track-by-track breakdown and get lost saying that Godsmack is << nice, but quite far from the album's standards >> and then you don't even mention the perhaps most beautiful piece of all the AIC production...

I rarely comment, Emanuele, because progressive metal or similar genres don't interest me at the moment, but I always enjoy taking a look at your reviews, which are always very professional. Your work is valuable.
