Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death

I agree with 47 in substance. @fullmentalkaoss, I don’t think I insulted you; if you took it that way, I apologize. What pissed me off is the closing of the review: first you say you respect everyone’s opinion, then you say that anyone who doesn't appreciate Maiden can go watch De Filippi. This shows a Taliban-like attitude (not to mention ridiculous) and a lack of respect for those reading your review. If you come here writing things like that, you can’t expect respect and then complain about insults, since you yourself insulted our intelligence first. I’d also like to point out that the fact that DeBaser has the philosophy of publishing everything doesn’t mean there aren’t rules that you are kindly asked to respect: you write, "I’ve known this site exactly for a minute before I wrote the review, and I certainly didn’t go to find out how many there were because I wasn't interested." I’d like to remind you that before submitting a review, you are expected to read this: "Check with the DeMotore di ricerca that the album you want to review isn’t already in the magical DeDatabase. If it is, decide whether it’s still worth writing a review: maybe yes (you have something else to say), but maybe no." And don’t tell me you had something new to say compared to what was already there, because it’s not true. Anyway, I look forward to reading you again, preferably with a review of an album that doesn’t already have ten.

Oh my God! Finally, someone has done the review of this amazing album, so you saved me because I wanted to do it but nothing adequate was coming to my mind. @Fest, May Blitz? Okay, but aren’t Patto more bluesy? And even though I really like the first May album, this one is definitely above it, by a clear margin. @Psycho, are you kidding? I won’t talk to you again until you’ve got your hands on the Repertoire mini-LP reissue, I swear you won't be able to take your eyes off it, it's that beautiful. Anyway, I won’t give it less than a 5, this is among my top 10 listens of late. Oh, and the Repertoire reissue also has a 14-minute bonus track which is pure gold. Make sure to really listen to this, I insist ;-)

Captain, okay, complete the discography, but 10 reviews for each album, come on! Do you really think reviews like this add even the slightest bit of usefulness? And then a shopping list with grades full of exaggerations, clichés, and worn-out platitudes? Plus, with a conclusion so absurd and ridiculous that it doesn't seem real? I have nothing against Maiden, don’t get me wrong, I feel the same way about the thousandth review of Pink Floyd or DT, etc. But a review like this deserves a solid 1 (I don’t know the album and I’m not voting on it). As for the rest, I don't think I need to reiterate the fondness I have for you :-)

Great, I've downloaded it, I'll listen to it, but you might have to wait a bit for what we can call "logistical" reasons. Anyway, in general, I'm always more generous than you in my judgments (see Aardvark), so I'm optimistic. Thanks for the trust anyway :D

Oh well, on that note, neither classic nor jazz for me, given my supreme ignorance on the subject :D

Well, come on... @jake, are you one of those who say that classical music can’t be voted on? And why not? (Aside from the fact that here we would be voting for this Gould’s interpretation more than for Bach himself).

From the cover, I would have bet it was an album from the early '70s; whoever designed it certainly knew Keef very well... Generally, I snub '90s prog, but I’ll make an exception for you.

The Bartoccetti of "In cauda semper stat venenum" was great, but I will keep a proper distance from this Rexanthony instead. Masterful review.

Finally, I got it, unfortunately not for 9.90 euros... What can I say? One of the many albums from '69, one of those that leaves you speechless, and you would never think that such stuff could be made in '69 (see High Tide).
