Should we deduce that Il_Paolo is velvet gray?

Psycho, it’s been too long since you reviewed some old stuff, it’s about time to make up for it in my opinion ;-)

Hi Ozzy, I'm running really late but I still want to compliment you on this great page. Who knows, maybe I'll give the album a listen soon, I'm not sure if it's for me, but I've enjoyed some Viking in the past.

@Giona, of course not!!! In fact, by a twist of fate, it seems that the bands I like the most often have released only one album or at most two. Regarding the voices, I quite like Galifi's, the very unique one of Fella (Jumbo), and I would say also brother Canali's. Among what I know, I would stop here, maybe mentioning the good Benson as the bottom of the abyss ;-) And let’s say that sometimes even the lyrics certainly don’t help me appreciate the singing... Anyway, in lesser Italian prog there are many good works, some more than others, but I haven’t yet found a true masterpiece deserving of 5 stars. It’s also a matter of taste, undoubtedly.

Well, some parts are a bit ridiculous, or at least naive, that's true. I agree with Mauro also on the emphatic tones of the singing, but unfortunately, this is common to practically all Italian prog records, whose vocal parts, except for rare exceptions, are quite bad (or at least, quite amusing). Spitalieri's voice, all in all, is among the least bad. Regarding the issue of meteors, however, I want to remind you that ALL Italian prog bands (apart from the usual PFM, Banco, Orme, etc.) are meteors (it's rare to find one that has released more than two LPs).

Having read (and greatly appreciated) the review, I listened to (and thoroughly enjoyed) the disc again. Psycho had recommended it to me some time ago, and I remember that on the first listen it made me jump in my seat a bit. The previous one under the name The Way We Live is also amazing.

Yes, but the review of this album was already there and you haven't really added much. Anyway, it's always nice to talk about these vintage things. A very nice and also original album, despite a few too many naiveties, as often happens in our local prog. In my humble opinion, it sees the 5 stars through a telescope.

Oh oh oh the Tractors!!! Double 5 straight away for the happiness, now I’m reading it.

I was waiting for the review of this album. Unfortunately, all the parts where you refer to "grunge" are, in my opinion, to be discarded without appeal. If you say that Mudhoney never made "grunge," it means you regard it as a musical genre, and then you should tell me who made "grunge" and why (the Melvins???). If you return to the literal meaning of the term, you'll discover that no one was more grunge than Mudhoney.
