...more than enough record...wow, what great professors are wandering around on Debaser (no offense, eh)

one of Miles' most beautiful acoustic albums; if you're new to jazz, get Kind Of Blue. If you've already got Kind Of Blue and you've become a bit savvy, get this one...5 all the way.

but the second one is a real gem! more commercial but more cohesive than this reviewed one, and much of the credit (no matter what fedezan says) goes to Clayton Thomas’s voice, which is among the most beautiful "black" voices among whites. Among the musicians, I would also mention the great Lew Soloff on trumpet, who then had a good continuation in pure jazz, especially in the Manhattan Jazz Quintet, which is extraordinary.

Actually, the Electric Flag existed long before BS&T... well, anyway, there was someone who had already done jazz rock a couple of years prior, and we must never forget to sing eternal glory to the mustachioed guy from Cucamonga...

to the Frumius Bandersnatch add Steve Miller and you’ll have the Steve Miller Band ;-)

But here we have to give Mike Bloomfield what belongs to Mike Bloomfield; the rock band expanded into a big band with brass is thanks to him and his Electric Flag (which, by the way, is an idea that Bloomfield borrowed from the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, where he had played). The Electric Flag is the least recognized band in the genre, yet the inspiration came from them. Kooper left because Katz and the rest of the band thought he was too weak as a singer. They brought in David Clayton Thomas, who had the right voice for their mainstream purposes, and they made billions :-)

An unrepeatable record that contains our nightmares, our fears, our phobias. Anyone who has tried to imitate them has fallen into ridicule.
