Diane Arbus Un gigante ebreo con i suoi genitori nella loro casa del Bronx, N.Y.

Hello, Diane was a brilliant photographer and a special person who managed to see things that others could not. Her ex-husband Allan Arbus, also a photographer and later an actor (he was Dr. Freedman in Altman's M.A.S.H.), would say that it was pure empathy with the subject being photographed. Thus, Diane's photos had a double meaning, a secret side, an ambiguity that I tried to describe for this photo. This was true for both freaks and ordinary people. For example, the two twin girls later paid homage to by Kubrick in Shining. Here you can find a series of her photos

however, it is superior to "And only the Aretino Pietro was saved, with one hand in front and the other behind" released the same year as the great "In the name of the Italian people" by Dino Risi

Higlande, you need to come to terms with yourself, or maybe you're a masochist who envies a situation that doesn't deserve compliments.

Here, grandiose directors like Monicelli, Risi, etc., are brought into the discussion as if there weren't fourth-rate films during their time; in fact, their peers often regarded many of their films as complete crap! I haven't seen the film and I don't even know if I feel like watching it. But I am reminded of a scene from Preston Sturgess's film, black and white from the forties, "The Forgotten," which tells the story of a rich, engaged director who fakes his own death to live as homeless and experience the lives of the bums, only to turn it into a film. It goes badly for him, and he is wrongfully imprisoned for a murder he didn’t commit, with no one to recognize him. Inside, the only consolation was the silly comedy films shown once a month, where everyone would laugh their heads off, including him. When he is finally recognized and released, he returns to directing but promises to only make silly comedies to make people laugh. These are the ones of greatest social utility.

Hello buzzard! In the great Boohoos of Pesaro, the young Paolo Catena, also known as Paul Chain, was a member!

This Creeps album in some ways channels a lot of Fuzztones, but the standout track is Down At The NightClub, which fades into a jazz piano! Still, the song I always enjoyed the most on this record is Hi Hi Pretty Girl... immortal! Then it happened that they replaced the Farfisa with the Hammond and even managed to reach the top spots in the charts in Sweden. Anyway, this is a great record. In the collection mentioned by imasoulman, there's a fantastic version by the Nomads of "Real Cool Time" from the first Stooges album. But I was also crazy about the singles by the Backdoor Men, which really seemed to come straight out of the '60s.

Maybe they considered them more than the Offspring, who fifteen years later copied the guitar solo of Bloodstain :) From Orange County at that time, in my opinion, a great technically gifted band emerged, the Red Kross of the McDonald brothers.

Well, unlike Kaczynski, I believe that Case History is HIS album, largely just him with a guitar; it reminds me a lot of another deranged artist like Skip Spence's Oar. It speaks of rejects and desperate cases he encountered in his job as an assistant in a psychiatric clinic. There are tracks with just guitar that send chills down my spine. It’s true it might just be a remnant of the singer-songwriter folk tradition, but the coordinates (him alone, stories of alienation, the John Peel label) are legendary. This one reviewed by master imasoulman is more beautiful, mature, with a more distinctly complex blues rock sound, featuring a real band and the production of Branson's Virgin, with stunning songs, but for me, it's less memorable than Case History. For me, both are still five-star albums.
