Lucio Dalla 1999
Voto:
Dear woodstok, I’ll give you another example of an unlistenable yet musically interesting record, to make you understand what thoughts govern my sick mind: crank songs by Capossela. Shall I explain? Dalla's is more unlistenable but less interesting, though. I mean, you wouldn’t put either of them on as background music while you’re collapsed on the couch Sunday morning, staring at the ceiling while your wife makes pizza, but if you really commit to it, you realize there are talented people playing, that there are original ideas that might be a bit misunderstood (this is increasingly true for Vinicio than for Dalla). Do you understand now what I meant? Yes, I know I need to get help. As you can see, I've agreed with the 2, so we're good. BYE
Marco Travaglio Promemoria 2 - Anfiteatro Romano di Cagliari 26.08.10
Voto:
Travaglio has indeed broken the balls forcefully. Another example of a brilliant mind (because he has one, along with good culture and excellent rhetorical skills) wasted on destruction, and incapable instead of building. Grillo, at least, makes you piss yourself laughing; with him, it’s not entertainment, it’s just continuous and blunt demolition of anyone (but the pivot, of course, is always Silvio). By now, I’m convinced that he himself is on Silvio's payroll. A harmful spectacle, in my opinion. Luttazzi, whom I saw live, was a whole other thing, and I miss him.
Arthur Conan Doyle Il Mastino dei Baskerville

Great review. I completely share, having experienced it myself, the first 5 lines. These are things I wouldn’t include in a review, but you are not me. Personally, the book disappointed me. It’s slow, quite predictable, and the investigative plot promises much but ultimately fails to deliver. One of the worst from Doyle, who is still a great. Baker Street in London is famous also and above all for having hosted the "Apple" store. To good connoisseurs, few words... ;)
Norah Jones Not Too Late

You forgot to review the album. Too bad because the premise was good. Norah = breathtaking voice.
Lucio Dalla 1999

He is monstrous. The album is nearly unlistenable but interesting from a musical standpoint, as it shows a bit of that eclecticism that Lucio has lost along the way. At the very least, since he is already a caricature in his own right, DALLA doesn't release a new album of forgettable tracks every year, so he’s not just a caricature of himself like so many, too many, of his contemporaries (more Vasco). Having taken on this album, a peculiar choice, the reviewer could have delved a bit deeper into the details.

Great opportunity to give a decent rating to a group that inspires me emotions as much as a sneeze, but whose seriousness and skill I can only acknowledge. Since there’s no three and a half, I’ll go for a four with honors to memory. An honest review.

It wasn't against you dear Alfredo, it was directed "to the many". You broke me. There’s no arguing about tastes. Read whatever you want, of course. I can maybe give you some advice and you can give me some or cheerfully tell me to go to hell, if you like. Anyway, the DeBasero is cool just for this and because it allows you to throw shit around as you please. Hi again.

X alfredo: The fate of the lion is indeed a bit heavy, but I still like it quite a bit. I recommend, for a more laid-back approach, "The Seventh Parchment." I've used it to convert other skeptics to "wilburesimo" and it works. But I don't think you're interested anyway... just a hunch... especially since backpedaling isn't in the spirit of the average debaseriano. It's much easier to throw crap around (which is something I do cheerfully too...) BYE
