Damn it, I disagree. I write real reviews for money (little). So what? I like the debasero because it allows me to get to know a lot of artists I wouldn’t otherwise, through a diverse group of people, among which there’s definitely someone who reviews elsewhere even more professionally than I do, and many who know little or nothing about music but want to share their opinions. What I’m saying is that if I hadn’t already known the ALBUM (it’s a 45 RPM with 2 tracks, the eleventh published by faber, which I own in original vinyl), the superb review we’re discussing would have only told me that Nikko writes well and is profound, but I wouldn’t have known anything about the artist as a musician. That’s my criticism, plain and simple.

Yet, call me a materialist ascetic, but on a site dedicated to reviews, I would expect to have at least a minimal amount of information about the music when I read a review, indeed. But luckily, I already know the album very well on my own. I’m surprised that this particular review hasn’t received a heart. Normally, the editors go crazy for such passionate/abstract expressions, and I, very consistently with my hard-headedness, get angry every time... ;)

Only a fool without that stench under their nose that too often runs rampant on this piece of site could write a piece with twists and turns like this one that hasn't been seen in a while. I’m going crazy for such a piece that is a well of emotions. It's crazy to give it just a 3, you're right NES.

As for me, since Debaser is a review site, esteemed NES, I expect reviews, can you believe it? Am I strange, huh? And if I want to "read," I go elsewhere. However, like you, I appreciate pieces like this one, especially because reading the name de Andrè every now and then still gives energy. ;)

Yes… but the review? Well done, anyway, deep thoughts, on the edge of demagogy, but you redeem yourself.
It was called Gesù; it's a wonder. Melody and lyrics from another era. Unattainable.

Sometimes they come back, but they'd better not do it. Good review.

Looking at him gets on my nerves, listening to him makes my blood boil. But I have to admit that this guy is actually not bad. Quite different.

Good review. The group, which I liked quite a bit for a while, has run out of ideas for too long. What a pity.

The review is definitely of a high standard, very learned indeed. But it feels more like a literary critique. And this makes sense, as the excellent songwriter has always invested more in words than in melodies. However, I would have expected at least a vague reference to the music; if you notice, it only comes up when discussing the subsequent albums... Nevertheless, it’s always a pleasure to read about artists of this caliber.

I read the first one on the wave of enthusiasm from some friends. Beautiful but too long. Reading the second felt almost like a duty. Narrative art is SUPERIOR, in my opinion, and great skill in developing the plot. I haven’t read the last one because the various DEFECTS of the first two made me lose the desire: first of all, TOO MANY CHARACTERS, many of whom are truly unnecessary. And that’s not good, it’s actually quite bad because if I have to take notes to understand who they’re talking about, I lose the rhythm! For heaven's sake… Then I agree with what was written above by someone whose name I don’t know: too many details! too often unnecessary! especially about the lives of characters that are themselves useless for the plot. This is a huge limitation, in my opinion. A real shame, because SOTTO RADICE QUADRA could be two unreachable books. Lisbeth, on the other hand, is an intriguing and well-executed character. When the anger that the first two have stirred in me passes, dear GEO, I will read the third. More than a good review.
