I really like "7 shades of black"... the most beautiful song on the album in my opinion.

I learned to appreciate this CD only 3-4 years after I first listened to Mellon Collie. I must say I was a fool to set it aside like that... the great Corgan puts the guitars aside to write wonderful lyrics... a stunning review, I was moved while reading it...

I discovered The Smashing Pumpkins at 14-15 years old, and with my first listen, I cast Adore aside in favor of the albums Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream. But now that I’m older and more mature, I’m appreciating this album. Reading the translations of the lyrics, I found them stunning; it’s a shame about the lack of decent drumming. To appreciate Adore, forget about the masterpieces of Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream.

you’re only good at criticizing and insulting, damn it!!! do you think it’s easy to come back and make an album after 7 years of absence, with such an important name??? if you criticize so much it’s because you were expecting songs from mellon collie!!!! wake up, guys!!!!!! 12 years have passed… rock is dead… there’s nothing but crap around. this album is the best Corgan could do. before listening to it, I was afraid it would be much worse, and instead, I was positively surprised. 7 shades of black, doomsday clock, tarantula, and united states are truly great songs. you idiot who wrote the review, go piss off because if you’re really a fan of the smashing pumpkins, you can’t talk about them like that...
