I'm not too convinced by these last two Opeth albums either; in my opinion, Mikael has lost quite a bit of his edge. "Harvest" from "Blackwater Park" was worth this entire album on its own. Now that's enough, otherwise I’ll start thinking like a metalhead and next week I’ll be back to listening to Amon Amarth.

A necessary clarification: Sonata Arctica have always given me gonorrhea, much more than the rest of the power (which I don't appreciate even under armed threat), but this album is something beyond, not even Rhapsody had managed to horrify me to this level.
