Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes

Nothing special, but it’s bearable. Better than Amok and King of Limbs, anyway.

Just like James' albums from the '90s still feel fresh today, his 2014 album sounds like it’s from 1996. I expected him to dare a bit more, but never mind, AT is always pleasant to listen to.

U2 Songs Of Innocence
Voto:
Flamboyant and silly as they hadn’t been since Allthatyoucantleavebehind, pompous and pretentious as they hadn’t been since Howtodismantleanatomicbomb.

The big fool is you for buying it at the stalls (but I did worse), those who buy it for 14 euros are the substandard ones or those who need to get a gift for their substandard friend who, when you ask what they want, only responds a) the new galanexus5s for 900 euros b) the Porsche c) the joke books by Totti.
Opeth Pale Communion
Voto:
I'm not too convinced by these last two Opeth albums either; in my opinion, Mikael has lost quite a bit of his edge. "Harvest" from "Blackwater Park" was worth this entire album on its own. Now that's enough, otherwise I’ll start thinking like a metalhead and next week I’ll be back to listening to Amon Amarth.
Deep Purple The Battle Rages On...

As far as I remember, it's an acceptable but forgettable album. In fact, I don't recall much else about it. Definitely better than the previous two, though.
Sonata Arctica Pariah's Child
Voto:
A necessary clarification: Sonata Arctica have always given me gonorrhea, much more than the rest of the power (which I don't appreciate even under armed threat), but this album is something beyond, not even Rhapsody had managed to horrify me to this level.
