Damn, in fact after just two days and a ton of beers, I realize that Vi is really Vi and not the Vivis, who wrote it to me anyway. Sorry Vi, I actually remember you very well because when I did the review of Milan and the impossible, I first read yours on Diego's first album. Oops, sorry again, it’s just that I always have Vivis on my mind :-). @Reverse: if you like Wire and Gang of Four, feel free to check out Pil as well; the first two, namely the First Issue and the Second Edition, are monstrous albums, especially the second one, which is almost thirty years old and trashes 99% of the stuff that could come out this year.

@Ale: I'm aging much better than Nanni and "splendid" is an understatement, to say the least:-) (by the way, I don't know if I've ever shouted the right things). Anyway, don't worry, for example this week I'm dusting off my new wave discs and it's PIL, Wire, and Gang of Four all the way. A big tight hug for Sunday. @Isi give it a listen, I would appreciate your opinion as the great expert of Italian music that you are. @Vi: how was the Spanish weekend? And how were the Afta? I danced a lot with a couple of Berlin DJs on Saturday night, so I didn't miss Disfunzioni.

Hello dear. I don't know them and I don't think I will practice them (I'm on a scary electronic trip).

As for the reception, I don't know what to say, but I agree with the group's judgment. I've had it for fifteen days and I still haven't managed to get through it. At first glance, it really seems like a mess to me, especially since there are people who have spoken very well of it. Maybe I'll reevaluate it, but for now, as Sanjuro would say, they make me want to throw javelins.

Nice one, Ale. Of course, the best independent Italian band is the Bachi (one evening I saw Zu first and then Bachi, actually I'll send you my review of the night, yes, Zu is good, but Bachi...)

Hi Bu. After all these years, I still haven't figured out if I prefer this one or the first. This, as you say, is definitely more psychadelic and lysergic. Unmissable and adorable.

@Ghemi: I wasn't the one who started with the insults; it was puntinicaz, with a wonderful omm'emerda, which is his typical comment that always makes his posts interesting, all motivated and reasoned. @Lux: I don't have to defend anyone; I just can't stand hasty and silly judgments like yours. From four songs, you can't understand a damn thing, as your post shows: the album is anything but mainstream, and talking about Vasco-style arrangements means you have your ears stuffed with ham. Try listening to the string and brass arrangement of "E' solo febbre" and then we can talk about it again. I would really like to know which mainstream band releases a track like that as a single with such an absurd time signature (9/8) and an arrangement that sounds like Arvo Pärt. Do Agnelli bother you? Great measure to evaluate an album.

A bit I feel like arguing, but whoever approaches this record listening to four songs or not having listened to it at all or dismisses it outright and cites Vasco or Negrita or Negramaro or wants to argue is either a jerk or doesn't understand a damn thing. You can decide for yourselves which category you want to put yourselves in. What’s certain is that they don’t understand a thing about rock 'n' roll and it's better they stick to horse racing. But I fear they can’t even tell a donkey from a horse. That puntinicazpuntini is a poor guy, I certainly won't discover that today.
